Ye... moreFacebook and so on aren't popular in China, mainly because the CCP (Governement) needs to approve any application and so on ... Don't forget that they are in a communism country, so everything that come from outside is considered bad and to operate there they need to alter the product, that's why they have a lot of "in house" alternative, not from Huawei (Although Huawei is co financed by the CCP, so when China people buy Huawei, the only thing that they do is moving money and gaining some "social" credit because they "support" homeland brand) but in the end, with the CCP that has the last word on it ;)

China floods the market with multiple phones since their is a demand for it.
Chinese manufacturers have swallowed every other company in marketshare.
Top notch products are in demand. Chinese companies are fulfilling this demand. Fun part is that this quality comes at a cheap price too with Chinese manufacturers.
Nobody wants to buy from companies which give average quality (downright cheap quality in plenty of cases) products at high prices. This is why their marketshare is declining.

Nvidia are in the process of buying ARM, once ARM is in American hands the US government will want Huawei to lose their right to use ARM based processors of any kind forcing them to move to something else.
The problem is that ARM is next to universal in mobile and embedded and that could be a death blow.
