In China there are a lot of extra features that are needed for every phone manufacturer due to no Google services and also for things like nfc as there are more nfc applications. That makes Chinese Roms necessary. If the same ROM is offered on global models there will just be a lot of bloatware that is only useful for China

Losing a competitor is a lost for the entire market.

What's the point of even having a Chinese and Global version? They should just give the phones ALL available 4G LTE/5G bands and be done with it. There's no point in having 2 different versions.

Wootttt... Ya okay, it's not a shame waiting for one of the best mobile releases as Mate serie always is.

And Huawei done... Cmon folks, they are som much alive and kicking. Ofc it hurts because of the colored dictator, but done naahhh.

I still look forward for the release and as the rest of their phones without Google scam, it's easy peasy to get it, if u want it. Google apps etc. solutions is all over the internet, just to pick up 👍🏻

As for Europe only UK and Poland rejects Huawei, but as for the rest, they just put Huawei on the sidelines (demoted to extra) instead of fully expell them.
Also, there is Mexico and South America (sans Brasil). They have chances to win there.
And there is Middle East too. Is an strong market for them.

This year, they were the highest selling smartphone brand (S: Canalys). They're the 10th most valued brand worldwide (S: Brand Finance). Their net profit is over 62 Billion USD.

They're not going anywhere. There will be some changes, but they'll thrive.

I think it would be in their best interest to become self-sufficient. They have the resources, they just need to invest into building their own foundry. That would free them from their shackles. Personally, i would like to see that happen.

                            So this is it.
Huawei is done, and i think there is no chance for huawei to recover from all what happened.
Even the ban is lifted the damage is already done.
It is like a child tangled betwen his divorced parents.

That sucks and everytime the problem has to appear with mate series , last year mate 30 was limited and launched in some countries and now mate 40
It is understandable because of us restrictions and definitely they will launch it in china only where they sell a lot
Guess i have to choose another smartphone but i still have some hope , it is not confirmed yet

With limited chips I won't be surprised if they make these China exclusive cause not many are willing to pay a premium price for a which lacks GMS
You maybe able to live without GMS but you have to agree it will make things a bit difficult especially the initial setup
