Sony launches A7C, a compact $1800 full-frame camera

A Sony A7 III, but in a smaller body.

Hi team. Its not the lightest & smallest fullframe camera, but the lightest & smallest fullframe interchangeable lens camera.

This camera is so pointless. It's supposed to be a compact version of the A7 III, but when you see the pictures of them side-by-side there's almost no difference in dimensions except from the height, from where they removed the center-mounted EVF.

And despite everyone's complaints about how the A6000 series bodies have horrible ergonomics and lack of physical controls, Sony never listen to this feedback, and now we have this camera which doesn't even have a front dial above the hand grip, so manual shooters are forced to use the fiddly rear circular dial to adjust aperture instead. Great.

Also, why is it still using the old menu layout when the A7S III has updated menu design?

Good all rounder compact flagship camera. Pricing is great as well.

Finally Sony fix the color science! (starting A7Siii).

Still gonna stick with my APSC Fuji anyway 😝
