Finally!
The only reason I didn't get the Omnia W was the absence of mass storage, Micro SD card support. And having to use Zune to transcode videos.
Yuck.

I have a Samsung Focus running Windows Phone 7.5 and it plays Angry Birds and all games with high frame rate and very smooth graphics. Also, never had any crashes. I don't know what kind of make of phone your using but from what I've experienced, we have three Windows Phone 7.5's and no gaming problems.

I played angry birds on a WP7 and it lagged so much that it was unplayable. Worked much better on an old school android phone running 2.1. Loaded much slower but at least it was playable

There is 3 main reason, First It was a cheap deal with such a Hugh screen and amazing form factors compare to the same price of other phones. Second it was a very stable and fun OS. Third Music player and Camera was excellent for a Smart phone as I mainly use it to make call, take pics and listen to music. I leave my web browsing to my ipad.

Having used iOS 5, ICS and Windows Phone 7.5, I can safely say WP has best interface and user experience.
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2402202,00.asp
Windows Phone 7.5 with Windows CE kernel upgrade to Windows Phone 8 with the almighty Windows NT kernel is too much, it would require full erase on the phones and the carriers won't do all the testing on it, not to mention it could brick your phones. Hopefully the XDA people could figure it out. Back to WP8 and why it will be success. It's future proofed with support processor up to 64 cores. Guaranteed at least 18 months of software updates. Developers can now create native code DirectX games and port apps between desktops, laptops, tablets and phones easily. WP8 is also made for businesses as it requires a built-in hardware security chip. Features like Bitlocker encryption and Secure Boot could help too.

yeah, and lumia 900 is already obsolete before it was even released. 7.8 is merely a scapegoat for microsoft's fault for releasing a new smartphone that will be obsolete later on...

But for X10 and Desire even 2.3 was conseder to much for these 2010 years model.
Apparently ISC/4.x is way more than those oldies can handle. Besides CPU mostly their limited RAM prohibit the ICS
Just like WP7. phones can't run WP8 but you have had your Androids with the top of the line OS for more than 2 years. WinPhone owners can be glad if their phones isn't obsolete within less than a year.
