BB, 17 Sep 2020599 would be a more reasonable price... what are you doing ... moreAgreed. Overnight they are trying to charge insane prices. Totally unrealistic. Quality are there yet. Plus why they aiming at a market that prefers better value?! No chance with this overpriced cack.

With all the dark themes, oled is way more energy efficient than LCD.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2020Why people call OLED a superior technology nowadays, when i... moreI personally never had burn in but I also took extra care not to encounter that. IPS LCD is from my experience not well suited for high refresh rates because of motion blur and ghosting. There is also the issue of IPS glow which is more annoying to me than flickering from OLED at low brightness.
I would say at 60Hz IPS LCDs are an ok alternative but we need advancements in display technology for sure. As soon as you go up in refresh rate OLED shows it's issues.

Why people call OLED a superior technology nowadays, when it has worse sun viewability, burns in, makes eyes bleed and gives weird colours, especially with DC dimming? boo hoo, but the blacks are deep! Photographers always use them. Monitors still are LCD. We've used them for 70 years without any issues while at the moment some Samsung AMOLED marketing fanboys tell us that AMOLED is better 😂
IDK why people has frowned upon IPS LCDs but for me this is the best display. My current phone can easily do 14 hours SoT. Imagine having an OLED phone doing that every weekdays, it would just take a month or two to burn in that splitscreen slider or the bottom panel would just burn in my SMS, Slack, or Messenger as they're mostly static.
IDK about you people but I like my phone to last atleast 3 years on that kind of usage without any kind of burn-in or even color tinting. Maybe these brainwashed people are rich and dumb at the same time.

Anders, 17 Sep 2020Waaaayyy too expensive. That's the same price the S20 ... moreIP rating is way overrated, it add cost and actually doesn't add anything except causing a cognitive biased making peoples to think their phone is waterproof (while it is water resistant) and cause many IP67/68 rated phones to die on water because of user behavior, despite no brand covering water damages, which make it literally having no pros (as it doesn't guarantee anything) but being a source of issues.
A phone can be made properly water resistant without requiring this expensive ratting that isn't adapted to smartphones, phones like the OnePlus 7(t) Pro proved it.

Uselessly butchered display with a hole on it for a tiny and poor quality camera status bar annoyance peasant < Majestic uninterrupted fullscreen display and privacy friendly excellent quality camera in futuristic and awesome pop up master race.

Ridiculous pricing for a phone with an LCD panel. Some LCD screens can be of high quality and I'm sure it will be but high refresh rate on LCD is pointless really. I'm using a vivo iqoo Z1 with a 144hz refresh rate and it's a waste of time. Plus you can't have an in display fingerprint scanner also. The Pocophone F2 pro is half the price and it has a better overall package.

I'll take it since you can't really find a phone like this nowadays. Xiaomi know how rare it is and that they can confidently jack up the price. It's acceptable I guess.

Nothing New, 17 Sep 2020Xiaomi lost their mind , the price increase over last year ... moreWhy don't you ever read something to know what they do this year instead of talking this.... Lol all the cheapest parts but best SD, Poco F1 for life so kids can hold "a flagship". Don't worry they plan to bring more of those budget phones yet.
