I don't see what everybody is complaining about. If you go to buy the new iphone, then surely you deal with the whole sim issue right there at the shop. Whether you have to cut it or get it swapped, any decent vendor should have that in place. And if you have a smartphone but still keep all your contacts on your sim only then something is wrong with you and you really can't be helped!!! Changing phone always involves some work. Porting contacts, media and re-dowloading apps. The sim thing is really a non issue.

Who cares? go to your carrier and get a new sim for free, or at most a couple of dollars. You keep the same number, it's a minor price to pay for the advancement of technology. The whinging about sim cards is utterly ridiculous. who freaking cares.

this is totally useless since sim trays for micro or nano sims has almost the same size with the conventional sims we have now.. if you lessen the sim size the sim trays should have a smaller size too.. or put too sims in a conventional micro or nano sim trays..

It matters now while people are migrating to smartphones and only really starting to embrace cloud technology, but not in a year or two's time. Sim swaps are an annoyance to the degree that you have to get another sim from your provider (presumably when you get a new phone).. Android users will have their contacts backed up on GMail, WP users will have their contacts backed up on Live, and Apple users will use iCloud. All a sim does these days is tell your phone what number it is and who it's with.... What's the fuss?? really....

is it like the size of micro sd cards? If it is, its too small. Mobiles should stick with microsims.

You're all complaining cos you think it's Apple's fault. Remember, their design WON!! That means other manufacturers ALSO designed Nano Sims.

working in the sales side of the industry this just makes it hard for the consumer to move from one handset to another its really not a move with the consumer in mind.

Everyone who works with mobiles phones is issuing a collective groan of frustration - this is going to be very tough on us, but it's going to be even harder on the poor old consumer who now has a third type of sim card to deal with; what a ridiculous waste of everyone's time.
