Whatever next...leaving the phone cases off altogether and just spray painting a 'cover' over the components to make phones even thinner.

Erin Rose, 18 Jul 2012Thats clever, I like that idea.ZeroSimCard uses 4G Technology, CDMA and it's have been available since long time.
Malaysia have one courier using this. Having Ipod/Ipad can have a valid number just like iphone. Iphone can even have 2 number but 1 sim card.

1cons is wifi must be on all time. but u should take into account GSM mode is not needed anymore.

Better out without SIM card, stupidity keep changing.

In fact they is no different among those SIM card size. How much impact can achieve from normal SIM to microSIM and now nano SIM.

              Is this innovation?

Why fix what isn't broken? Since we cannot recycle our old SIM this will cause millions more of electronic junk to pollute our environment. It also defeats the purpose of SIM which is swappable identification module. If you can't swap it around then it isn't truly portable.

Not only is it annoying for us who work in the retail section swapping customers Sim cards from normal sized to a micro, but it's small enough, i can barely keep a hold on it when trying to insert it into a phone

My first phone the Philips Diga had a credit card size sim card but this nano size is proving what? Next they will be going back to 2.5mm headfone jacks to save space and then we will have to buy 3.5mm to 2.5mm jacks..A 1cm is thin enough surely..

If only they had gone for virtual-sim instead. It would only use up storage (a few kilo bytes), leaving much more space inside phones than even this nano-sim.
                                No slot means extra weather-proofing.
                                It would use less power.

The normal sim cards look simple and they have the perfect size. I couldn't get it why they created the micro sim, now they created the nano sim. You'll just lose them.

Thing is - every major manufacturer believes that we NEED a Nano Sim as they all designed one.
