Just look at Apple and Samsung (and Huawei) - the most successful smartphone makers in business. And coincidentally they make the best smartphones on the planet right now. People don't follow brands or trends (like blind Sony fans), they just choose the best - iPhones and Galaxies. BMW example is quite bad by the way. They're making quite crappy cars (like the most others European carmakers) for quite a while. I know few people from several autoservices and they all told me the same thing - "most BMW cars last for 5 years without serious break downs if you're lucky. Once it's broken, don't waste your time and money - this piece of rubbish is not repairable. Just buy Japanese made Toyota and forget about car problems".

Something as basic and useful as the aux jack is more essential to me than wireless charging. I don't believe there has been a more useful feature than that which has been killed off by companies in the name of profit. Apple led the way on this front.

          BMW sales less than Japan automotive doesn't mean BMW has a bad product. the premium segment is different than common.

                          Besides, I'd rather trade wireless charging for a headphone jack, and the widest 5G coverage for the better-sounding dual front-facing stereo speakers.
                          I'd trade the 2K screen for properly-working 120Hz display that isn't distracted by any camera cutout.

                          Surely when companies give us essential features, we're gonna look for things that we don't really need, and when they give us useless features but omit the useful ones, we cry again for them to bring them back. Is this the new generation of "smart people?"

                            Well, to be fair, there are compromises. No wireless charging, no 5G coverage for US. Still, I want some reviews to say that it's great so I can get one.

                              -Two front firing speakers

                                Xperia 5ii has the same 10 bit color grading like it's bigger brother 1ii. So I think GSMArena should change that in the specs of the phone (change 16M colors to 1B).
