      @ NoNAVY2004

the company "meizu" was offically closed down due to the fact they broke over 200 of the copyright's for the iphone because they basicly copyed it and did a VERY poor job of it, if you look at youtube video they couldnt even make a working product that would fit in the shell the size of an iphone it was the size of a laptop! i would say that "meizu" is a joke but its more they WERE a joke! bye bye meizu

        @ Niz

You have clearly NEVER used an iphone otherwise you wouldnt come out with stupid comments like "its just an ipod that can make calls"

If you people could just open your tiny minds just a little you would see just what a great product the iphone is and also what its going to make other company's produce in the future.

I say to you apple, one of the best products i have seen in a very long time if only other companys put as much effort into there products as you......

            I agree with t.j.

Before the iPhone it seemed to me like we were stuck with great phones, that had pretty basic OS's, it was pretty plain and uninspired. The most visually pleasing OS before the iPhone was the Windows Mobile OS. This pales in comparison to OSX on the iPhone. I have an iPhone and the UI is just amazing, instantly head and heels above the rest. This is a great thing, because Apple has forced handset makers like Nokia and Sony Ericcson(XPERIA 1) to make the UI experience as authentic and user friendly as possible, but at the same time make it accessible and easy to use. There's no doubt the iPhone is lacking basic features that a phone should have, but with this SDK things will change. I just hope Apple doenst tie things down too much. I'm much looking forward to the SDK, as an Avid gamer, the gaming possibilities really got me excited!

why does gsmareana hate the iphone ????????????

every article they write about it has a negative spin like "the most hyped mobile phones currently avaliable"

                what a load of TOSH!

The iphone is awesome ! yes its missing some silly things eg MMS

but it has changed the mobile world for the better , now everyone will develop better OS for their products, no more crappy UIQ or SYMBIAN S60, YAY YAY.

BUT SERIOUSLY S60 AND THE LIKE WERE GREAT BUT THERE COMES A TIME FOR CHANGE AND THE IPHONE HAS JUST KICK STARTED IT.

Ok those who say that theyve used an s60 b4 prolly havent used there newer phones. Starting with the n81, nokias been putting out faster processors making there phones not only faster but way more stable. Yes before they were slow but right now i have the e51 and it is phenomenol and very stable. And you guys this is not a new phone. ITS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. The new 3g iphone will be out in june..that might be a considerable phone by then.

This is definitely the same thing over and over again. When is Apple going to launch a new model with the new stuff? It's becoming quite boring.

I think it's all a matter of too little too late for Apple. Nokia already leads the pack with the largest variety of applications for their S60 phones and Sony Ericsson already leads the way with their implementation of the accelerometer for use in games and applications. The iPhone is not a true mobile device, it's just an iPod that can make phone calls.

i'm getting a gut feeling that its not gonna be that easy to create a application for the iphone at least not one that apple will allow to be licensed and disturbed with a simple reason cause people who have used the iphone will know how smooth and fluid the iphone os is; it hardly hangs and still manages to look great with all the animations and transitions, the iphone is actually misunderstood by alot of people they say its way over hyped and expensive and i agree it is really overhyped but that really a apple thing it happens with everything i remember when the tiger was coming their os to match vista it was like a revolution for mac users but once it came it was just another updated os but yea generally it is over hyped and i totally agree that it is way overpriced and apple have really made a mess of its release, coming here than there no foxed date as to when it will hit sleeves in your country and with the whole 3g enabled iphone on the way it never made sense but as to the money the hard work and sweat goes into the os.....thats what the iphone is....operating system its the day to day things like calling, messageing, viewing pics and stuff all these are done so perfectly that people actually over look the 2mp cam no 3g...etc etc i'm not saying that it a good thing by far i would chose my N95 8GB over my iphone when it came to multimedia but the main problem was cause by people....mostly tech junkies who for some God forsaken reason campared the iphone to the N95, they are too majorly different devices you can not compare the iphone to the N95 its just no possiable, you can compare the N95 to the N82 or the K850 or the W960 or the N82 to the K850 that makes sense cause those phones are for the same type of people, i mean those of you who own a N82 i'm sure compared it to the N95, probably the first thing you did, you probably even compared both at the shop holding them in your hands to see which one you want and same for K850i when you were buying your you probly took a glance at the W960 or even the P1i cause you considered it as a option and you could have really bought either and still would have like the music pics......but did you when considering to buy your k850i did you look at the nokia 2660? or the se j120? both of which are cheap models? did you campare the n95 to the se j120......hhhhhmm no camera vs 5mp auto focus carl zeiss......did you do that? no.....exacly.....thats what the iphone and n85 are.....not to be saying that the iphone is bad or anything but both the N95 and Iphone are in differnet class, so far iphone has made uts own class, the N95 althoug king and awaitng its big bro the N96 are the best their are still K850i and w960i and ohones like p1i in that class,..........so now that apple and perfected their os which soon reallese a new update making a add to match perfection will no be an easy task, if the app is buggy and hangs like every other time apple will be like we don't want that on our phone, i've made tons of jave apps for my n95 and i remember for most of them i did't bother taking out the minor glitches such as crash handling or reboot if you turn off the phone with one of my have apps, the app forgets to do its job until you open and close it, but the an example it sounds worst than it actually is but thats just an example there are tons of apps out there for symbian and not just java but also sis which have millions of bugs and my point is that a iphone with out its smooth os is usless, a waste of money and apple know that so its really gonna be hell for programmers like me who make same apps here and there for the fun of it, but i will give credit to apple for giving us access to almost all the resources in the iphone, they even give directions as to how to control external devices such as the gps chip and thats great as its almost impossiable to access the internal componets in symbian like the internal ir or gps and theres no word about external, see ya hopefully i will be able to make a app for my iphone and for everyone elses....!!!! bye

i think Apple's move to release the SDK for application development is a move in right direction. The hardware is too good to be left without any use by third party cool applications.
