Just waiting to get my hands on a Nokia WP8 with all those Phon Specific features that we had in Symbian being available on the Nokia WP8, the excellent hardware, xenon Flash, with a high end OS. Its going to be awesome.

I've watched the wp8 presentation a few days back and i was indeed sold with the features that they are going to offer. The live tiles arent quite so boring as people make them out to be. Plus the os is already quite smooth even with the HD res screen that was being demoed on the test devices by samsung and nokia. First generation android smartphones that had HD screens did not have that smoothness right out of the box. People had to root tge first and install custom roms.

Im definitely getting a wp8 in october when it launches. Ease of use is what im after.

When you are a market leader as Nokia is, and own an O/S symbian you can dictate what you want the phone to have for the programmers
Symbian did not prove flexible enough when it came to touch screens

I unfortunately cannot live with Microsd expansion so Lumia 800 and the 900 are off tha table

But as you can see WP8 brings all that back, there are many people like me No not clones) but who insist on microsd
Now Nokia are at the forefront again and many people love the lumia 800 & 900
If.... no soon, very soon both will be availbale with Micro SD and this will be the time Nokia began to make Nokia phones again using WP
NOKIAS WITHOUT MICROSD ARE VERY FEW

        re Android / WP

A very basic thing is incorporated in ALL Nokias from Symabian to WP but NOT on Andriod
Contacts the field name can be edited. EG,I can list all my 7 Tesco phonenumbers under Contact "Tesco" and label each one differntly with a post code for each

        Because Andriod contact are fixed
'mobile' 'work' 'business' etc, and human memory I have now had to create 7 separate contacts or improve my memory

With WP8 "real" Nokia will be returning in droves
by real I mean me not my clones

Im very knowledgable about wp8 for your info and me and the other guy had a side topic in mind. I dont know about him, but for me there was nothing much to talk about the wp8 since all we know as of now are the software features it gonna offer and not much else.

We were discussing the possibilities of the low end segment with the assumption that the wp8 phones will always be on the higher tier line-ups. And the next time you call people names, please dont do it while in the safety behind your screen. Be a man and tell it to there faces personally. :-)

Nokia-111, 21 Jul 201220 more new features will be available in new WP8. Yes, and there is no limit to the features that will be made available as continous updates to WP8, unlike Android, which is a crap OS that runs on resource hungry language, i.e. Java.

The asha line up has very low app count and no multitasking to top it off. Who would need a 1ghz processor when it cant even multitask? Even though he is not admitting it, i bet elop musr be thinking right now that he made a big mistake in dumping symbian, instead of placing it on the low end segment.

if they will bring the new asha touch in the philippines at a price more than php5000, it is a fail! why will people buy a phone with no favorite games available on the phone? who will buy the phone? the die hard angry birds fans?

nokia should consider the prices and the apps available! they should really put the symbian OS on the low end market! atleast symbian has already an establish app store! with 100,000 available of apps! while S40 only has 25,000 of apps!

if its true that they are brewing an new linux OS (not the meltemi, but the one that the smarterphone team creating), what will be the available apps? at least on symbian, they dont need to worry the apps! but im still looking forward on that new linux OS!

they should also give what the low end market want! this kind of market is also too demanding!

the reason why galaxy y was a hit its because its a smartphone on a dumbphone price and form! and people love it because of the android ecosystem!

ELOP the smartphone world is all about ECOSYSTEM!!!! bring symbian to low end, since both the s40 and symbian runs on 1ghz processor now! i think its compatible on that market! and make WP8 on mid and high end! and a linux-based(if ever you're making one) for boundary level!

anyway, if it is based on windows nt kernel.. prepare your anti virus softwares! the good side of that is it could perform like our old desktops in our very hand and it could possibly emulate android or anything that it already emulated. i hope it would have the same freedom like our desktops (customizations on the OS like adding new features and the appearance)
                                      haha.. that sounds like android...
symbian is still great... it is much stable than android actually. it doesnt get bricked on hacking (or rooting in android) and customizing anything in the phone...
