Is Google purposely trying to lose money with Pixel phones? Their completely out of touch with the way they price their phones.
Snapdragon 765G is only onpar with the 845 and worse than last years 855. So they are going backwards. They should only release the Pixel A phones, the main series are complete flops.

They will both have the same amount of storage. And the phone can't be all aluminum because it supposedly will support wireless and reverse wireless charging.

Pi... moreYou really believe that Pixel has some ultra high quality components compared to other brands? All phones including Sony and Apple have components which are manufactured in China.
Big brands just have bigger profit margins in comparison to Chinese brands offering products at bang for buck prices.
The pixel 5 is absolutely overpriced at 700$, irrespective of which part of the world one resides in. Maximum 400$ is what I would pay for a phone with Snapdragon 765g.

Why do people care if phone doesn't come with a headphone jack at all? most phones come with a usb type c to 3.5 dongle (if not you can buy one for cheap).
Couldn't people just leave that dongle plugged into their headphone and when they want to use their headphone they can just plug it in?

The subject matter the way it's headlined is click emotion bait.. I think the price is fine and a sensible stylish unit given a tight year for many. Its not as if its 1 or 1.2k. Its all about personal choice. I don't care that other phones better or worse are the similar price. Pixels in my usage are a terrific experience, bright, snappy, uncluttered, matt back, good photography and delightfully uncomplicated software. My Pixel 3 is brilliant, class in simplicity, always feels new and reliable as hell.

I've seen some tweet where someone said how everyone were saying that Pixel 4a was supposed to be 499 but ended up selling for 349.
I hope it will be the case with this one as well because if we compare the specs of it with the galaxy s20 fe which I trashed already, this is just beautiful overpriced phone that lacks the headphone jack...
If the price will be right and if this phone will be available I will buy it for sure.

Considering that Android updates are turning into "what features did they remove" instead of "what features did they add", the perk of having quick OS updates doesn't justify the high price

I'm extremely happy with pixel since the original I hate the samsung clutter , and the update issues , 3yrs is more then what I keep my phone's and I never pay full price there's always a good deal at launch through Verizon or something , very happy with pixel 4 xl and Android 11 has made it even better only complaint is not having a pixel watch I want one so bad with a smooth pixel display by now to go with my panda pixel , as long as google keeps making pixels I'm on board I use that call screening and I was using the Google duplex for appt but most restaurants bare still closed for sitting down so not as useful now but that google call screening is easily the best one period I've tried every app even the Verizon paid and that AI Google has is the best in filtering out calls and sending them to VM love that it's easily one of my favorite features and google algorithms for the images are so good I use astrophotography quite a bit and wow man pics comes out crazy google on a tripod I even have a planet in my pics making looking
