Even with LG's inferior OLED tech LG TV has better picture quality than Any brand's Quantum dot LCD(Including market's best LCD, Samsung QLED TV).

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020LCD has an LED backlight tho.. IDK what are you on about, b... moreMiniLED is still LCD. It is just using the minileds in the backlight to increase contrast and reduce blooming as the shutters of the LCD open and close to allow the light to pass through. Some light always bleeds through becasue the LCD can not completely block it. Which is why they can not show black as good as self emitting tech like OLED. Microled is using tiny RGB leds that have infinite contrast because they are self emitting and they can turn each pixel completely off.

So a pure marketing, misleading headline, no real mini/micro LED yet, dissapointing.
I don't get why people fight over technology, LCD and OLED both have their benefits and flaws.
I dislike LCD, went from Pioneer Kuro plasma to LG OLED TVs, but I won't ever recommend an OLED TV to someone who's playing games several hours a day or placing the TV next to a window in a brightly lit room, to them a good LCD would be a better chioce.
I like to watch movies in a dimly light room (black black is a necesity) and need a large viewing angle, no LCD can beat an OLED in those conditions.
Regarding burn in and degrading, after 9000+ hours of use they are non existant (I have another OLED with less than 1000 hours so I can compare them).

That said, I will be glad if a non organic real LED TV cames to the market, it would benefit all.

micro led is different than mini led

Which will therefore make microled come quicker to the market

And you still say what I said has nothibg to do with microled getting closer to the market?

LCD is not better overall but if the subject is about which technology has the most room to develop/potential it is LCD hands down

Every LCD weakness has a variant to match I cant say the same for OLED brightness and heat is bad for OLED and I don't know how OLED will overcome organic limitations

                May be in the future.
Besides these mini LED is worse than LG's OLED.

Both has it's advantages and disadvantages. Don't try to make it look like LCD is all better.
There's reason why Samsung never made a third OLED TV despite having a great success.
Also there is a reason why both Samsung and LG are running after the OLED technology.
Actually LG is putting both the bad side of LCD and OLED into their so called OLED.

The 4K is on my budget, well, the price will whooping up when arrived in my country.

Interesting. The 4K version can be compared to an LG CX but the Xiaomi insanely huge

You would think OLED technology is brighter than LCD

People that think this are sadly mistaken

Once again because of OLED's organic nature high brightness means more heat and will speed up the destruction of your panel ...

With miniled and beyond LCD variants will hit 10000 nits and higher for photorealism without any worry for auto brightness limiters that OLED has.

OLED has matured to the point where it's now stuck in terms of innovation that Will significantly improve the technology

Unlike LCD that has so many variations that is even projected to be used in a mixed/ hybrid solution with using microled as a backlight bringing microled earlier to the market in a cheaper sustainable form in less than the 5 years full on emissive microled would take

Even with "pixel refresher" it will happen, it's just a matter of time. Just google it, rtings.com for exampe has a pretty good long term test with pixel refresher activated. Also the maximum brightness decreases way quicker over time than microLED.
