harlekkin, 25 Jul 2012First come, first served buddy. Loads of people have given ... morePretty sure you couldn't be more wrong. Just because you choose not to patent something DOES NOT give someone else the right to - it's called prior art and exists for this exact reason. By not patenting all you are doing is giving up your right to license your invention and claim compensation for infringements. Once Samsung proves that the idea of a universal search existed long before Apple patented it, the case will be thrown out so fast their lawyers will be bowled over by the backdraft...

Now I have these thoughts that Apple probably did not patent most of their stools(shits)- they just bought em'. I'm not surprised.

I'm glad apple hasn't patented searching for tv remotes down the back of the sofa. Otherwise the world would end.
Apple invented the apple and patented the apple tree, they also patented the process of rotting to the core.

By the way the Latin words for apple and evil are very similar.
mālum "an apple", mălum "an evil or misfortune.
            Amusing I thought.

[deleted post]First come, first served buddy. Loads of people have given up their rights to their ideas because they didn't patent them, it's the most normal thing in the world. Deal with it.

Most rich inventors out there have done so, most likely including Samsung. And if Samsung could just use "universal search" they would for sure do the same thing and patent it under their arsenal of patents.

It's obvious that left-swiping shows the menu on the devices, since that's the issue. Think before you post.

I will say though, the little updates to the keyboard and auto correct have made the device 100x better for texting. The auto-correct feature was a joke when it was first launched, now it's better. The brightness adjuster in your notifications bar is also stupidly handy. Actually nice to have an update that shows they do listen :)

No shit Sherlock, and it didn't invent all of the software innovations that it introduced to the iphone.

                        And you know what?

Despite Android Fanboy claims, they didn't say they did in the first place. That's how delusional Apple Haters are. They accept anything they hear and pass it off as truth.
