Previously, this feature was marked "experimental". The reason for the resolution cap is mostly to do with data usage.

Stadia doesn't give them any extra private info about you than Google couldn't already know.

There... moreWell, you don't really know what else is sent there, knowing how well stolen data are encrypted we might never know, but one sure thing, Android is really well known for doing that, using this is asking for troubles.
And even if by itself isn't THAT bad (which I am sure it is), it normalize cloud computing which is bad.
You know the saying : "If this is free, then you are the product.".
Well, it also work for cheap things, and considering they need to run the equivalent of a computer per users + all the additional processing power related to remote operations + the internet connection + the développement and all that, the way cloud computing is so cheap isn't right at all.
Imagine having a gaming computer for only 10$ per month from once the hardware is cheaper but not old to when you need to upgrade, does it sound faisable for you ?
And that's even without talking about cooling, electricity, all the employee, the cost of the structure itself and the taxes with it...

A suspiciously cheap service from the N°1 internet ads company known to be intrusive and which literally run by contently sending data you can't know what they are because of encryption to a remote server you can't check in any ways what they do in it...
Sound like a recipe for disaster and a call for unknowingly sending many private data from memory and/or sensors.

Because there is nothing better for privacy and security than executing instructions from a distant server owned by a corporation well known for its eager to gather all kind of informations and who isn't exactly the best at respecting private life.
