I can go on and on.....
IPhone is lacking in plenty of departments compared to Android.
The most embarrassing part is that all these features are available on budget Android phones.

Apple adapted it to iPad Air because they got rid of home button. Power button was only place to put it. Why would power button scanner be any more expensive than home button one?

Apple just don't want to spend the R&D Chinese OEMs are spending. Apple likes to wait till Chinese OEMs and suppliers perfected a tech so it can license for cheap and bring it to North America as innovation.
Look at SONY's power button fingerprint scanner. It was expensive but after Chinese suppliers managed to make it cheap and available to low-end phones, Apple adapted it for the new iPad Air

So what if it has a notch? Don't buy it if you don't want it. If you wanted to buy an iPhone, you will whether or not it has a notch. Same thing if you're looking to purchase an android phone. Are you guys trying to persuade each other into not buying the other's OS of choice? What are you looking to accomplish? Your comments won't change anything.

Not all have under screen f... moreok then I will be more specific My oneplus 8 Pro has:
-more storage
-much more ram
-faster UI
-better cameras
-better display
-better performance
-longer batterie life
-better speakers
-has usb-c instead of some proprietary BS like lightning
-software as good if not better than apples UI
-I can add cool and many usefull 3rd party apps - Iphones cant
-faster charging speed
-faster wireless charging speed
The above mentioned would also be the case for a couple of other android flagships too and that is a fact with numbers and tests. The only Single thing apple does much better is longterm software update, which i find great. Most android OEMs give you 2 to 3 years of updates and thats it on the other hand I don't care as I never had a phone for longer than a year max. Apple is No1 because they have undisputed kings in marketing in their PR department, they can sell something like a worthless rock to people and some would still buy it, which already happened when they sold a freaking stand for more than 1000 dollar. Apple hasn't innovated since the Iphone 5s everything after that was just minor improvement over the previous gen., whereas android OEMs like samsung, huawei, oneplus, oppo and xiaomi or LG kept innovating and coming up completely new stuff like foldables, in display fingerprint scanners, multiple camera systems, stereo speaker system that actually sound pretty good for such a small device with dolby atmos and so much more. It's android who keeps pushing the boundries not apple, i don't hate apple nor think bad of them, their hustle is next level, they know with their genius marketing people go as far as buy a freaking stand for 1000 just because of the logo and i would do the same but they eventually fall off the smartphone (profit) throne at some point and imo probably make more money with just software, macs, licenses and apple music in the future.

It indeed includes these "extensions" which means that the dead area indeed falls inside the rectangular shape representing display , making an intrusion and "notchy".
"The iPhone 11 Pro display has rounded corners that follow a beautiful curved design, and these corners are within a standard rectangle. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screen is 5.85 inches diagonally (actual viewable area is less)." (c) Apple
Anyway that's mere and silly arguments whether you call it dead area "notch" or these extensions "horns" they are indeed ugly. If you look how fast they were gone in android, you would understand most people don't favor them.

And I'm not saying this because I'm some hardcore Apple defender. Phones before notch had a straight strip of "dead space" up there. Now it's not a strip anymore, it has extra space in corners. How is that intrusion into display space and not extension of display? Intrusion woud be if we had all display phones ever since and Apple decided to smack a notch up there. Then that would be an intrusion into the display area. But history of displays didn't go that way. First it was a ful strip, then it was notch, then it was teardrop/punch hole and mechanical popup cameras and eventually we'll get full display with underdisplay camera. Essentially I've decided to stick with iPhone XR until Apple makes notchless design. Which shouldn't be a difficult thing considering how fast it still is after 2 years, it feels just as snappy as when it was new and getting major iOS updates every year for several more years... It's just nice.

You can’t combine phones together, you only have that one phone and it has to be balanced experience in software and hardware. It doesn’t help if your product is very good in some areas and less good in others.

Just because it will have a notch don't mean that they should charge you a fraction of a normal iPhone. It cost more then 300 euros to actually make an iPhone, let alone price it at 150.

i think some cheap phones from china like blackwiev, allcall and cubot still got notch and they cost around 50-80euros . apple should lower price of new iphone 12 , normal price should be around 150-200euros
