Exynos 1080 is Samsung's first 5nm chip with Cortex-A78 and Mali-G78 GPU

09 October 2020
Samsung's own flagships will use the successor to the Exynos 990, but there are no details on the new chip (other than it will be made on a 5 nm process).

Even if Exynos 3000 come up still it is for regular usage like support 160MP cam, support 150w charger, and in term of gaming sd730g is better than any Exynos.

AnonD-947580, 09 Oct 2020No we don't! No Exynos garbage should ever be put into... moreThere are many snapdragon powered phones out there, who's stopping you to opt them? Exynos in 2020 is not better than snapdragon but still quite comparable. Samsung can put whichever soc they want, they aren't asking you to buy. Even last years SOC is still relevant today, way too powerful for a 6 inch phone.

It’s sad that Exynos chips are always good on paper but meh in reality.. Otherwise this appears to be a wonderful Combo for a midrange chip to be ruined by Samsung’s subpar chip design.

This is an impressive upgrade compared to Exynos 980. Antutu score at 650K+ exceeds even the Snapdragon 865+ and about twice of Exynos 980. Midrange chipsets are starting to get more exciting.

AnonD-940827, 09 Oct 2020It will be beaten again by sd, so I don't understand w... moreBecause its their own chip and they don't need to pay Qualcomm any money for CPUs? You really think the average Samsung customer who often has very little tech knowledge cares about whether the processor inside is Exynos or Snapdragon? No, they go to the shop buy a Samsung phone that is heavily marketed. End of story.

            s1, note2, note8, note9, s5e, s7 and It was a bad experience.

specially optimization, heating issue are horrible.

regardless of my opnion, exynos soc just trash that's all.

find the youtube bench... how bad exynos is.

exynos is even falling behind mediatek.

Most of my life I have used Samsung products.

            but not anymore.

            sorry about my bad english.

It will be beaten again by sd, so I don't understand why Samsung keeps trying. When they fail year after year.

This is good especially for competing companies. Too much Google, Qualcomm and Apple monopolies. no good for innovation at all.

I think it will compete with the upgraded version of sd765.Its looks fast now they are coming with new flagship and new hugher midrange processor. Not they just have to replace the 9611 with a new midrange processor
