To me it's an insulting term in most situations therefore in my comments I try my best not to use it. Why? Because when you're making arguments based on facts, the natures of people you're talking to should be least relevant. But the biggest problem here is that when I was giving the other user an answer for his/her question, you butt in a rudest manner, which is totally unacceptable.

Did I ever claim so? I did criticise it for performing somewhat poorly (as far as I could tell from the samples) relative to the sensor size and pointed out how in ONE scene the output looks fairly poor compared to S20U and P40P, but that's it.

Although they are bringing good devices to the market. I've mostly used Samsung.

Calling someone biased towards a particular brand is an insult??? BTW, if you really think Huawei has better selfie camera than Zenfone 7 pro, one doesn't need to be an expert to know you are being biased.
Besides there are other people in this thread attesting to the fact that selfie cam of p40 pro isn't that good. Either ways, I don't judge camera quality based on DxOMark.

Another pattern that I just realised: Instead of pointing out which specific parts of my statements are flawed, those accounts usually rush to the personal attack, even if I give them logical explanations about what I have said.
Just like you did to me now - I suggested the other guy that DxOMark is using the different protocol for front facing and back facing cameras and that's the reason why the scores are different despite the identical cameras being used for both tests. This is an obvious fact and if you're a sensible person you should be able to agree with me, yet you couldn't help but vituperate me. Like, which part of my comment do you disagree with? Come on, say it out loud. What you did was not a criticism, it was a pure insult. Or do you even fail to see the difference between those two terms?

I just noticed a pattern of you being biased towards Huawei.
It's okay to be a fanboy, it's okay to have favorites, just be reasonable sometimes and learn to take criticism.
Besides, If more people are telling you the same, maybe it is true.

"Everyone", sure. 3 people who have told me that (including you) somehow all like to take a piss on everything Apple does while praising Android OEMs especially Xiaomi & Oppo, and on top of that they all use similar wordings and phrases in their comments. So you are saying same camera (hardware) and app (software) get different scores when shooting selfie and normal? and this same setup gets different pro/cons in each case? what is wrong with dxo?!

This is not right in my opinion.
Only because someone at Dxo prefers smoother selfies, they are trying to mislead customers into saying that Huawei P40 Pro has a better selfie cam.
Personally, even I despise the yellowish images from the RYYB sensor of Huawei main cam, but that does not mean that Huawei P40 Pro is a terrible shooter. It just does things in ways that I don't prefer personally.
Personal opinions have to be clearly captioned and not be a factor in determining the overall quality or ranking. If a photo is sharpened, it just means that the photos are *usually , captured in greater detail. There are tons of apps that can smoothen your face in post processing.
