AnTuTu scores suggest iPhone 12 chipset is downclocked, GPU is slower than on the 11-series

The Apple A14 chipset is also used in the iPad Air (2020), which posted higher scores than the iPhone 12.

Apple trying bravado with smaller battery but with powerful smaller processor. Let's see how far this goes. There must be a good reason that they have NOT compared there performance of A14 with A13.

                                  5G really consumes the battery such that even the efficient 5nm chipset has to throttled down, 90hz/120hz screen axed.. i'm not surprised when the review comes out even the screen is dimmer.. All efforts to save battery just to experience 5G in its infancy? Lol

                                      It makes more sense now why the scores are unimpressive, similar to the iPhone SE 2020 case. Underclocking would yield better battery life efficiency considering how power hungry Apple chipsets have been but then again, iPhones rarely use its big cores in real world usage. However, this wasn't the case when using other benchmarks, iPhone SE 2020 had similar performance with the iPhone 11 series which I checked at Anandtech. iPad Air Antutu score shows that there definitely IS an improvement from its predecessor. Anyways, the iPhone 12's sustained performance should improve coupled that with lower temperatures. I cannot bare phones that get uncomfortably hot when gaming.

                                        May be the ISP in 12 Pro models would better compared to the one found in iPad Air.
