A Snapdragon 775-powered phone is in the works, though.

Android.Master, 19 Oct 2020So they will be launching V70 with Sd775.... Lol good luck ... moreReally hope that LG wouldn't do that. SD 775 on the Velvet 5G or Wing 5G successor would be fine but on the V60 successor? That's a big worry right there.

Either LG will launch the V60 successor with Snapdragon 775 (please no on that one) or LG is focusing on the Velvet or the Wing 5G successor first before the V60 successor comes in.

No V50 and V60 in Europe, only sold in US and only via carriers. Now no flagship SoC in 2021. LG is driving its mobile business into the ground. I've been waiting for the past 3 years to see if they will come to their senses, but it seems I'll be looking elsewhere for an upgrade.

No global V60 release, FAIL !!

I really wanted to buy the V60 but it was never released in India. So I settled for the G8x for myself (& G8s for wife). They are both great phones! But I hate it that LG is too slow with bringing their phones to different parts of the world & also with their timely software updates.

However, I love LG phones for their build quality & yes the QDAC!

Whackcar, 19 Oct 2020It seems they've killed the G-series. G8 came last yea... moreIn Czech Republic the initial price of the LG Velvet was the same as the One Plus 8. And almost the same as the S20 FE. Only a blind LG fan will consider that phone, when you have so many better options out there. And I do not even consider Xiaomi or Realme phones in this comparison, because the gap will be even greater.
True, now with some discounts (probably because nobody is buying the phone, lol), you can find the LG Velvet a little cheaper. Still, not worth it thou.

                Shocker! Yawn.

Much like Sony, LG have been making amazing hardware but just don't know how to marketing it. For basic user 600 or even 400 series is good enough for daily task, but heavy user 800 series is a much.
I have two phone, K30 5G and V50, even with more memory, game like Genshin Impact just run over the K30.
People who just use smartphone for SNS or web browsing will never understand why we pay for this prosessing power

Actually...if you guys remember the V20-V40, those always launched late into the year so this isn't a surprise.

LG has definitely been the textbook definition of hardware-complete phones. I would have gotten the V60 if it had 2K at LEAST at 90Hz refresh rate because everything else about the phone is a home run (especially that gorgeous DAC).
