Or perhaps will optics be with zero distortion(or close to).
If distortion is corrected in optics it produces better quality details to the edges, so I hope it's that one.

When huawei got caught, there was no "illustrated purposes only" statement below the photo. But someone holding Nikon camera like holding phone for selfie photo. Advertisement of Nova .... Samsung Brazil was caught doing it too last year.

Huawei's R&D department expenses are US $19 billion in 2019, whereas Sony's R&D are just US $4.9 billion. Food for thought?

Also, the 'image for illustration purposes' watermark are usually a legal way of cheating. Do I care? No. I still bought tons of Xperia back then. They tone down the advertising down on the newer phones now, since finally they came out with more competitive camera sensor size.
About the liquid lens, lets say the liquid lens tech are really there on Huawei, what would u say then? I will waiting for you this Thursday.

Imaging Division is required.
Which only Sony, Samsung and Panasonic have among cellphone makers.
OMEs come to Sony and Samsung and say size, resolution, AF type and how many units they need.

If not even the biggest lens makers are making liquid lens, a tiny company will not be able to offer.
Cellphone lenses have nothing to do with AF.
They just let light pass through.
They do not have all thosemoptical properties like teal lenses.
That is why you open cellphone cam module, all elements have same size and shape.
