He can keep equating himself to the average buyers all he likes, but anyone with at least half a brain should know that most regular buyers even find it difficult to use 2FA authentication apps. And that's not a shade. These buyers are also responsible for the bulk of purchases. If one can't tailor his products to their needs then one can't meet their needs, and that automatically equals huge lost sales.

Not even one with Huawei Shares would be so obsessed with the brand.

    My arguments still stay.
First of all, many needed to redo the procedure to re-enable GMS after some time (either after a device or google update). A friend of mine had to do it again a couple of times, on his Huawei phone. You where one of lucky ones.
Secondly. Most people (middle-aged, no technology nerds) don't know that their newly obtained Huawei & Honor device, will not work they way they their older used to. You think most of these people, will be able to do these steps by their own? Or even know what to search for? They will be easily overwhelmed and stuck with a device that don't fit their needs.
Third. When you as a Manufacturer want sell a device for 1200€ in Europe, you should make it work from the get-go. Period. It's NOT the work of the paying customers to do it. We are talking here about iPhone 12 Pro Max, Samsung S20 Ultra, Note20 Ultra, Z Flip, Sony 1 II price territory.

So Apple or other smartphone manufacturers are not backed by their own country ? How ignorant to say that Huawei is backed by the government even if nobody has any solid proof, just because it's more innovative than most others, doesn't mean that they need the backing from anyone. This proves that most people will open thei r mouth without thinking

I'm not sure why so many westerner hates Huawei while its USA that keep banning the company for accusation without proof. It is so obvious that the main reason behind is USA do not wish other companies has better technology ahead of them and yet so many westerners unwilling to admit it and choose to believe that the Trump Administration said.
              Is that how capitalism works?

Every major company from ANY country is getting subsidies from govt. Same as Google, Apple, Amazon, Boeing etc, are not paying taxes, or getting "stimulus" packages. That, by the way, they spend on repurchasing overpriced stocks that they sold years ago.
You need to get your facts straight and let that one braincell work for a while, warm it up, might do you good in the future.

To be honest, I would buy M40Pro+, but 1400+e is a bit too much for a phone. Mind, I don't care about GMS (screw Google), I don't use it for years now, Huawei APP Store is pretty good and will get better and better.
I might consider it if it comes with HongMeng OS (even though display cutouts are a big nono for me), otherwise I'll skip it.
Would like to support Huawei. If anyone deserves a little bit of support now, it's them.

Lol Huawei. A company that's too arrogant for its own good. Probably because they have the CCP backing it.

Kiddo, can u atleast do a proper homework instead of slapping a youtube link on how to install gms on huawei devices... And can u tell me specifically on which part of the video says u have to install again and again after u update your device?

I m totally fine if u wanna get full experience of gms, u can always look alternative, but being a keyboard warrior without doing ur homework... Ggsssttt just another day with another anonymous goon.

I owned huawei deviceS, i got no issue on installing GMS ob my devices, and after installed gms i got no issue on latest firmware updates, and gms is still there working as usual, so can you stop your crap once and for all?

Apple also gets "funded" by the US as in tax breaks, preferencial treatment and other monetary incentives. You know why? Because companies like that stimulate that country's economy and they're a big part of its gdp. So of course China's government is gonna do the same. Except when they do it its "scary" and "sets a dangerous precedent", give me a break. Not to mention that there's not a single evidence of spying being brought up except for vague corporate espionage which every successful company like Samsung and Apple has been accused of but that doesn't make them any less trustworthy. The west is being strongarmed by the US simply because they felt their control of technology slipping away when China started winning at their own capitalist game (which includes dirty corporate tactics but its not any less illegal than when US companies do it and get a slap on the wrist "million dollar fine" while a Chinese company gets hounded until the ends of the world). Any person with actual critical thinking can smell the stench of double standards a mile away... Remember Toshiba and Fujitsu, anyone that is a threat to US bottom line gets either bought or destroyed.

                                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tMAcZhXdEM
You need to do all this above (possible even downgrade to an older firmware of your Huawei device, if it doesn't work). After a few weeks or months you need to do the same or some other method (Google is blocking more & more of these hacks). Who knows maybe some day it will be not doable anymore.
Even after all that, it's not 100% sure if all your apps that need GMS will work. Not worth the hassle.
                                  That's tinkering.

When i pay 1200€ or 120€ for a device, i want a good experience from day one. How many of your friends, colleges and family members think are able to do this, without someone else for help (many times per year)? That's why Huawei lost it's market share outside of China...

It takes no more time than setting up different accounts(Google, whatsapp, etc.) when buying a new phone. And you have to do it only once, not everytime.

It's not rocket science. You don't need to be tech savvy or an expert either.
If one can use a smartphone, one can install playstore on Huawei.
One doesn't need any special skills for that.

Huawei is closely tied to the CCP and it gets financing from the CCP. Huawei has not been transparent about the information it collects or how it's used (just like TicToc has not been) and this is the reason a number of countries are blacklisting the company.

At least the Western democracies allow their residents to purchase the devices -- China censors and blocks its citizens from purchasing or using technology and services available in the rest of the world based on CCP's authoritarian decisions. Even TicToc is banned in China, while it sends undisclosed information collected from the rest of the world to China.
