Ijas, 22 Nov 2020I am also having same problem. Touch response is so bad. Ca... more I'm not liking my samsung s20fe. The screen has lots of issues with freezing when typing. The 30x zoom is a joke - anything beyond zooming 5x is Pixelated . When the camera switches lenses there is a noticeable transition in quality and brightness. There is no headphone jack - i miss a headphone jack. The fingerprint reader is slow, and when I turn my phone on at night time I get a jolt of bright light every time.
I came from an lg phone and would have stuck with lg but work made me go with samsung.
My phone will be going back. Hopefully I just got a lemon. Overall I'm wondering how this phone got such good reviews.

I've just bought one of these from Samsung and it's going back for a refund. What a shame it had so much potential. It has a screen sensitivity issue even after the updates and I can't get to grips with it. Also, it doesn't lock all the time on phone calls which is caused by it having a VIRTUAL proximity sensor which means it must be pressed right against the ear to work. One bit of movement will display the screen. This isn't good enough in a £700 phone. Also they could have done with a bit better res on such a big screen. Such a shame as the rest of the phone is fantastic. Just wish I could get an S20 with a snapdragon in the UK.

Do you really think the S20FE will b... moreHonestly and because you might want to buy it (as I thought I would), I've had it in my hands in two shops (Fnac and Mediamarkt). It stands out quite a bit from my hand up. It's long for my taste, not as long as the weird Sony screens, but very long. I had a oneplus 7T that I returned because of problems and it was too long. Any phone above 6 or 6.1 inches you'll find it's too big to almost handle with one hand. It all depends on the size of your clothes pocket but if you put it on the back of a jeams, it will come out approximately half of the phone or almost the whole of its half. Perhaps you should be more concerned about the screen issue with the erratic touches that even the new updates haven't been able to solve and makes you think it's a hardware problem. I would expect that. I'm waiting the solve it because I only like this phone because of the processor, the zoom camera and the stereo speakers. I'm between this and the Google Pixel 4A 5G (The 5G pixel has problems with the frames, there are gaps between the screen and the frame, it come outside, mybe the adhesive used). I recommended you wait until screen issue it´´s totally solved and meanwhile if you haven´t access to a S20 FE 5G, try to draw in a paper and cut with sccissors and put the shape in your hand. You can see aprox. it size

MrHong, 25 Oct 2020It's supposedly a great phone with gorgeous display, b... moreApparently the topic of unbalanced speakers also appears mostly in Google Pixel 5, but in a very radical way and I believe less in 4A and 4A 5G. It's all because people don't want many space of frames and have to put small speakers or in the case of GPixel 5, under the screen. Samsung should think about Google's and Iphone's strategy of build smaller phones and also make very large mobiles to satisfy both sides of people. But I think a phone should always be something that can be handled with one hand and fits in a pocket. For the rest there are tablets, laptops or televisions.

I have proplem when i switch language on keyboard when i do the screen responds as if im swiping for resent apps(i have installed the two firmware updates related to this issue yet nothing new) it causes me inconvenience while chatting i took it to the nearest Samsung branch they said wait for more updates if it didint work through the next 2 weeks we will take it to maintainance and see if so we will replace it with another new unit.
Please comment if you have the same keyboard issue

I have snapdragon 20fe with Sep 1st patch and things work fine for me. (Model SM-G781W)
No issues at all with screen touch or fingerprint as others have reported. Not sure if it's exynos version or what..
Currently getting around 8 hours SOT w/ 120hz & medium power saving. Super happy so far.

Dave, 24 Oct 2020After reading all these comments about the erratic touch in... moreIt's supposedly a great phone with gorgeous display, but yeah, pity the problems. I should have just ordered an iPhone 12 Pro Max (spend extra and discard my iPhone 11).
Also one strange thing I noticed in the S20 FE is that the speaker output is slightly unbalanced (a little weak) for the top-firing one. The speaker grill is thin though.
I'm still waiting for the new update, but it's still stuck with the Sep 1 patch. At least I know what a 120Hz display feels like, but pedestrian 60Hz is just fine for me. Otherwise software is bug-free and pretty responsive.

After reading all these comments about the erratic touch in the screen, I decided not to buy this phone and to forget about it completely. I'm not going to spend more than 700 Euros on a S20 FE 5G throwing money away behaving like a toy phone. Too bad for Samsung. Again I have to look at Google Pixel 4A 5G, because Google Pixel 5 also has problems, too (gaps in the cover). Anyway, the samsumg are too long and big for my taste. My only reason for buying it was that it had zoom and stereo speakers. I want a phone, not a tablet.
