                Yup those two are the biggest fabs in world, which is sub classed into 6 smaller fabs which world on less advanced nodes like 12nm and 16nm for other IOT devices.

                India is the world's best exporter in one thing and that's not technology.....india is the world's leading exporter in hair....yes hair.

                UK and France projected to beat India in 2021 in GDP.

                  China has their own Fans called SMIC which are about to make 7nm in 2022.


                  China produced 200 million of Chips per year, last year india produced just 60 chips at SCL Chandigarh.

There are just 2 TSMC fabs in china rest all are in Taiwan,US,etc. And all Mediatek Helio chips are manufactured in Taiwan.

                          Also a majority of TSMC Fabs are in China, there no way around it, even china have their own advanced 12nm SMIC Chips.

We are a cons... moreI guess India kept "promoting" Indian brands from 1947 to 1991 in the way you are talking of. How much growth our brands had witnessed? ZERO.
