wtf, 25 Oct 2020MI 8 already has MIUI 12 and Android 10only in china version. global version still nothing. hte flagship phone from 2 years ago and is completely ignored...shame on xiaomi and his terrible update system.

Reality is, for 99% of people, it's the exact same crap. All those tweaks that everyone is raving so hard about is used by 1% of hardcore fanatics and the rest just doesn't care. I had my Android phones customized too and in the end I always just returned to whatever stock launcher there was on the phone as all the customizations were buggy as hell.
The repair thing, fine. But in 20 some years of using mobile phones, I haven't had to repair one. Ever. I also never smashed one or whatever. So I honestly don't even care about warranty or repair. As far as I'm concerned anyways.

Take their constant anti-repair policy for example and iOS restrictions. I love and hate Android at the same time. We really need faster updates for new APIs, protocols and security.
I don't see it happening though since all Android makers release new phones weekly. Pick your poison I guess..

And instead of Android users backing me up and pursuing Android phone makers to do better they instead call us fanboys. I literally went to Apple because I was fed up with this nonsense on basically all Androids. And I had Samsung, HTC, Xiaomi, Huawei. On iPhone it's like entirely different world when it comes to software. Timely updates without nonsense weeks and months of gap between regional releases and at least 5 years of updates should be a norm on ALL Androids. Coz if that by some weird miracle does happen, I might return to Android. But from the looks of it, it won't be anytime soon... And there is also creepy uncle Google... the other reason why I jumped ship.
