AnonD-60099, 02 Aug 2012That's the point, my dear friend. You can stay with an os t... morewe are on the same boat here, but if you referring to IOS, yes , they are more than 200 improvement on it, but just look at the feature that they brag about :
-reject call with sms
-do not disturb(slightly modified silent mode)
-facebook integration
i just dont feel that the other 197 feature will make such a difference, maybe the iphone 5 will be better but it will be just iphone 5 and they will be device dependent feature, like siri.

AnonD-252, 02 Aug 2012Gingerbread is far better and more stable than ICS, and is ... moreuse iCS and youll know how the experience its created, incompability with apps? nope never found that, i use exactly the same app just like when im using GB on my sgs2, yes sgs2 ICS update looks like half baked update, but im using custom rom anyway and its a great speed ! :) cant really compare them with GB, and will never get back to GB, ive tried JB yesterday , and im very pleased with it, even though the project butter didnt run so good (its just an early build) but its shows more fulidity than my current ICS, really nice ! :)
the thing is , if the processor, ram , and the system partition is not big enough ,it cant run it properly, just like my old moto milestone, i can update it to gingerbread, via custom rom if i want, but froyo is just better and run faster because of hardware limitation.

AnonD-252, 02 Aug 2012Gingerbread is far better and more stable than ICS, and is ... moreNot really. Honeycomb was a bit Vista-ish.
ICS is great, but many manufacturer's who have sent out upgrades to Gingerbread phones have done a poor job this far. Maybe they instead want people to buy new ones to get a better ICS/JB experience? Samsung and HTC in particularly did a poor effort on their updates of GB phones to ICS.
ICS on Ascend and Transformer is just as stable as GB on any phone. Hopefully Moto's update of RAZR series will be as stable, and not as crappy/buggy as the Sensation/EVO 3D/SII ICS updates have been. making people want to downgrade.

AnonD-32667, 02 Aug 2012The only reason Gingerbread is the highest is because phone... moreGingerbread is far better and more stable than ICS, and is compatible with far more apps and games..., that is the reason why so many manufacturers decide not to update their phones because the user-experience would be too slow and laggy! ICS looks good but performs very bad! ICS is to Android as Vista was to Windows, total crap!
