Nokia is releasing the update without even proper testing, the latest updates just breaks my Nokia 9, many noticeable bugs like
- camera app crash's / hangs most of the time
- not able to switch on the flash / torch (shows disabled)
- phone no longer supports fast charging
- ear piece / loud speaker sound breaks when the battery is below 40-35%
- phone hangs most of the time..
why the hell are they not undergoing any proper testing measures before pushing an update, at least they should have done it for their so called premium phone. FROM MOST TRUSTED BRAND to WORST TRUSTED BRAND, GOOD WORK, KEEP GOING...

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2020Using Nokia 7 plus and it's one best phone out there. ... moreA lot of phones on the same price point that the nokia 7.1 come out with will have pretty much same amount of updates but have way better hardware. 7.1 is only midrange cause of hardware but based on it's price it was already close to flagship hardware phones.
Nokia 7.1 is with Snapdragon 636 and in my country on release it cost around 350 euro. I was looking Nokia 2 and half year ago but then went with Xiaomi redmi note 5 ai dual cam for 170 euro that had same hardware as 7.1 with sd636. Yes my phone still on android 9 and have not got any security updates for a year or so, but for 170 euro it still have alumiinium body. Probably gets one update something Miui 12 in couple of months as the last update. But then again i dont much care for it as otherwise i would of root some other android on my phone long ago. If i have a choice to buy a phone where one is priced 170 euro and other is priced 350 while both have same hardware then i go with the cheaper one and dont care about the brand and software updates. For 350 euro i expect better hardware and better screen that the 7.1 offers.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Spoiler alert, it won't last 5 yearsWhat will prevent it to last over 5 years ? Maybe point it out ? Just hate something so much for no reason or facts to back up the claim. I have Redmi note 5 ai dual cam for 2 and half years now and still works no problem. I dont see why should it not last more 2 and half years.
And based on built quality i dont see any difference then the 15 different models of Nokia i have had past 25 years. Never mind that my last nokia that was lumia 830 screen died after 18 months used and repair broke 3.5mm jack and screen was not still working and the guarantee process took 4 months of breaking nerves

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Does xiaomi phones have worse quality than other brands lik... moreIt's not Xiaomi users who complain about ads in miui. It's the people who believe yellow news and then hate the brand for some reason so they whine about it in everywhere like a broken record player. I dont know maybe China versions of Xiaomi have the ads problem. But global versions dont have ads problem. Well every app have ads anyways so how to make difference. I dont even understand where are the ads that everyone are whining about.

Using Nokia 7 plus and it's one best phone out there. Was on android 8.0 got update of android 9.0 and then android 10. Even today on latest Android security patch update. No other mid range phones gets so much latest Android updates(maybe because of android one). It's full smooth and pure stock android just like pixels. Even camera is best because of Carl Zeiss. I think lower budget nokia is are not much good but mid range and high range is best in its own category. Nokia has done what it should have done in the beginning itself that is switching to android rather than windows. Now it's switched to android that too with android one it's giving the proper pure unmodified version. Sometimes price feels little high than competitor but it's almost worth it

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Hmd Nokia Still d god of toughness n design, look at d new ... moreYap, that's obviously true. They recycled the design just to fool the Apple Fan boys that that's their new latest and greatest design, call it "INNOVATION".
However end of the day, people will still buy iPhone because of its incredible performance, long lasting software update, better value and incredible "Cameras" ( Stole from real Nokia from 2015)

I have to say that I was very satisfied with my previous phone which was a Nokia, all the way from build quality to the pure Android experience. And the monthly OS updates were delivered in all regions almost at the same time.
I switched to Samsung and I quite miss that. My current phone receives quarterly updates, but I still haven't received the last one although it started seeding in other regions weeks ago.
The only thing that I wanted my Nokia to have was a better processor. When the device launched, the CPU was already 1-2 years old and the performance was visibly affected. I hope that they will use newer CPUs in the phones that they will launch. Nokia 8.3 is a good start, but the camera doesn't impress for its price range. Anyway, let's see what will come next... I'm optimistic :)
