Amazfit is worth exactly what it costs, if not less, in my single experience with their product. Even Fitbit is far more accurate when HR goes up rapidly. If you want accurate sensors and algorithms, get Garmin, or for a less sports-oriented device, get Apple Watch.

Please test heart rate accuracy both at rest and when doing strenuous exercise vs Polar / Garmin / Apple etc. First gen was virtually useless.

In today's market, you need to take the quality, looks, battery and feel of the Huawei GT 2 Pro with the software on the TicWatch (using google wear), then you have THE watch. In one month I bought the Samsung Active 2, Samsung 3, Ticwatch Pro, new FitBit Versa 3 and the Huawei GT Pro 2 - Active 2 is good, but feels like a toy, Samsung 3 is fine but the premium for the poor looks makes zero sense, Ticwatch Pro with the CPU is very nice, a little light on battery and unfortunately as ugly as hell and the Huawei GT 2 pro is simply stunning, but without the NFC chip activated, the inability to at least respond to texts with canned responses, pictures don't show up in texts and no voice assistant is troubling.

What about GPS? First edition was a complete failure, owned one and gave it away to my father. Several complains on xda as well, so wondering if new release improved.

They announce a U.S. availability date as October 31st for the GTR 2 and the day of launch, they say that it will now be available sometime in the future? How frustrating? Also, on their website, the classic version of the GTR 2 is already sold out.

Please test how long takes for lock gps.... On gtr this one of the biggest problem on the watch.

NFC for contactless payments?
Wasn't exclusive to china? I would go back to amazfiz ASAP if this is true.
And Amazfit is owned by Xiaomi.
