Snapdragon 875 could be 25% faster than its predecessor, leaked AnTuTu result shows

30 October 2020
While the new Kirin and Apple chipsets edged out the 865, the upcoming Snapdragon flagship chipset may leave them in the dust.

ob, 01 Nov 2020But some others will not care about playing Genshin Impact too..Doesn't matter this isn't about Genshin Impact.
It's about the throttling cpu.

Tomorrow you might not push the soc to its full potential, only use it for basic tasks and praise the A14 in the process but then please dont call it flagship SOC because then there is no difference between flagship SOC and low end-mid range SOC.

Soon iPhones will become ordinary not slow but not fast phones with boring design and no innovation. Android phones are miles better now. Android isn't the same operating system as it was. It is much better faster stable.

ob, 01 Nov 2020But some others will not care about playing Genshin Impact too..yes, but most people who don't care about games won't see the difference between A14 and SD 732 either (which probably just as weak as A11)
but they do care about "gimmick" like higher resolution display, higher refresh rate, faster charging, bigger battery, and better price which apple is inferior in every aspects
so what's apple is good at exactly?

A lot of people are just worried that the current trend of increasing prices in Qualcomm would make flagship phones expensive as hell, but as long as Xiaomi exist(and don't change their business model), we mortals are able to experience it. hence the expression "hold my beer"

LoL it's honestly you guys that keep on popping up on apple threads and throw the same critisizm that we already all know.

                "Terrible specs for price"

                "Absolutely trash phone"

Android--Master, 31 Oct 2020Antutu score for A13 = Around 530k. Antutu score for A14 ... moreThe Realme X7 pro with Dimensity 1000 chip scores similar to A14 chipset in Antutu.
Best part is that it hardly throttles and keeps those 540k-550k scores after repeated Antutu tests.

Dimensity 1000 chip inside a 300 Euro phone giving better sustained performance without throttling when compared to A14. Let that sink in!

It also has integrated 5g modem unlike the external one on iPhone 12.
So no unnecessary battery drain due to 5g.

                            @GSMArena, look at this:

                            https://www.forbes.com/sites/patrickmoorhead/2015/06/12/misunderstood-or-inappropriate-mobile-benchmarks-are-hurting-the-industry-and-consumers/?sh=185a87742dc6

                            Look at what it says.

"The problem with... AnTuTu is that it purports to be or is used as a full system benchmark, when it really doesn’t do anything other than test different components of the system, fairly poorly, and then generates a composite score based on those individual scores."

"AnTuTu’s main test doesn’t incorporate any of the other tests they offer like HTML5, battery life, video, stability or screen test... This is because if they did incorporate these tests, it would take too long to test and wouldn’t really be as popular of a test as it is today."

I'm just telling GSMA to stop using weird aggregate benchmarks like antutu that only calculate a few parts of a system and mash them together in a way that the final score doesn't really mean anything. Just because it scored 25% higher on a few random tests mashed together doesn't mean it actually provides a 25% increase in performance.

Geekbench isn't indicative of real-world performance either, but it only focuses on CPU and CPU only. Geekbench has made that clear. So once we see a geekbench score, we all know that there is a 25% increase in CPU.

                                Antutu score for A14 = Around 560k.
Which proves there is hardly any improvement over last year's chip.

After thermal throttling, if one shaves off 20%, the scores of A14 = Around 450k.
That does not look to me like 2020 performance.
Even the repeated Antutu tests have confirmed thermal throttling to 460k.

                                Antutu score for SD875 = Around 850k.
Devices with proper cooling, which is in a lot Android flagships these days will push the score around 900k

So technically performance of SD875 phones will be twice as fast as the iPhone 12 series.

Don't come at me with GeekBench scores. As cpu isn't the only thing operating inside the phone. The whole device performance and speeds are because of a combination of different elements like cpu, GPU, ui, storage, Ram, etc. All of which are counted in the Antutu benchmark.

No wonder Qualcomm Snapdragon is the SOC of choice on smartphones. Other chipsets are simply behind the curve.

IPhone might score high in GeekBench. 50% faster in Single core yet throttles badly in Genshin Impact while Snapdragon 865 does not.
