I get it now. Not many people can cope up with latest techs.

simply because the prices are insane. all manufacturers now are pricing their flagship at 1400$ samsung sony huawei . until now xiaomi is the exception
ah i forgot that for example i would never buy an exynos chipset phone again

Yeah, that's what you get for putting all the most stupid things possible and removing the useful ones.
This is in fact mind blowing that peoples want a phone with :
*A spy camera in a hole in the display.
*The horror which are curved edge display and their tons of cons (and not a single good point except looking good on pictures).
*No 3.5mm Jack port or alternatives, combined with 5.0 Bluetooth while 5.1 was available...
*Too small battery on a giant phone.
*Stupid/Bad camera setup (2Mp depth sensor are bad enough, imagine using a 0.3Mp one instead 😂) and useless and unpractical camera hump.
          *Bloatware.
*Super high price for nothing more than the competition.
          *No dual band sat nav.
*Exynos thingy FORCED onto some markets.
*An implementation so bad of the ultrasonic FPS tech (which is by orders of magnitudes better than optical and capacitive together) that peoples think ultrasonic FPS are bad, refusal to upgrade from the 3D Sonic to the way better 3D Sonic Max just because they aren't happy Qualcomm refused the exclusivity deal, cry me a river Samsung.
*Plastic !?!!!???!!! C'mon, with this price, don't tell me Aluminium isn't a valid option, with 3D printing Titanium is now totally affordable.
*No Dual sim + SD card.

I mean, c'mon, at this point this is done on purpose, since the S10, it look like Samsung try to find all the worse feature to implement and all the best features they could remove and avoid upgrading...
Why does tech savvy peoples still buy those is a mystery...

So samsung company will understand, their Galaxy Nope 20 Regular is overpriced.

plastic body is durable, but should be cheaper than 1000 usd

Well, I think there's 2 things to be said:

              1. Noone, myself included, will ever pay that amount of money for an Android phone. They are simply not worth it quality-wise.

              2. Samsung continuing to use it's inferior low-midrange chipset which is Exynos 990 while offering the far superior 865+ chip has made many consumers worldwide upset.

If Samsung continues to use their inferior low-tier chips in premium smartphones they will continue to loose money - especially after many high-profile Youtubers have been ranting about the Exynos-problem. That will only get more pronounced if Samsung continues to illegally promote US and European phones as being the "same" phone. That is a blatant lie and they can get sued for that.

The magic question is: In which regions can the decreased demand be seen? Since the poor Exynos chipset is incorporated in the Note 20 /Ultra line-up e.g. in Europe, it is very understandable, that users don't want a f***ing expensive but totally inefficient device. Battery drain is critical in the light of a smaller battery in combo with Exynos. Potentially the Snapdragon variant in the US and in the Korean world might show different demands? Who knows?

Joe.Mama, 03 Nov 2020i really don't think most consumers do actually check ... moreNot because of Android. It's too big, too heavy, made of plastic (regular Note) and less features than cheaper or older phones.

Wow I wonder why Samsung reported a 50% increase in profit despite a decrease in sales. Totally not because they're scummy enough to charge an absurd amount more for their new phones. Toooootally not.

i really don't think most consumers do actually check the spec sheet, they look at the phone and if it looks and feels nice and is kinda fast and snappy its a buy but on the other hand these phone are just too expensive and most people don't pay more than 1000 for an android phone lets be honest, only die hard fanst pay 1400 bucks for something like this

The truth is mobile phones are overpriced now and the market is too saturated with phones coming out everyday with poor long term support for them...
People are also doing well with their midrange devices which are stepping up good as well.

This is predicable since the Note20 is considerably a downgrade compared to the Note10 despite being more expensive.

Note 20 is Final nail in the for note series

Plastic back, water-down dpecs, ridiculous prices for a barely upgrade, no real innovations, unless you count huge camera censors that the ones you sale to your rivals are performing better than your in-house phones (wth!)

I mean... How would have expected that? /s

samsung did many things wrong, repeatedly.
giving exynos soc's to all the other regions. and pricing it equal to snapdragon models and top of that, high pricing.
they better bring exynos with rdna gpu and compete directly with SD875 or ditch the exynos and go with snapdragon.

now compare it with Huawei Mate 40 Pro.

Rediculous... there is no reason for the Note Series having a cheap ugly flat screen retarded edges & low specs, etc... variant, all the resources that went with each one was wasted in the abyss... If someone wants a cheap knockoff:... let them dive in to the mid rangers,

Woul'd you buy a Ferrari with a Hyundai Engine???!!!
