[deleted post]TL;DR - There is a market for "smartphone gaming". It's big in Asia, and slight traction in the West. If a big corporation backs portables, with the right hardware and the right games, it would win a lot of market share. That's the void left by the Nintendo Switch, which is an obsolete device when considering cross-play, third-party, current-gen, AAA titles.
Whilst the PSP was widely successful, Sony dropped the ball on the Vita... HARD!
There won't be another PSP, at least not for a long while. The closest thing to that is actually the Nintendo Switch.
However, the Nintendo Switch doesn't equate well in this debate. It cannot play Gaming PC Games, fine, that's not the intended competitor. Yet it is competing against the (next-gen) Xbox Series X which devours it. Alright let's write that off as well. But for flag sake, the Switch launched AFTER the current-gen consoles, but it cannot compete with the XB1 either because it lacks the grunt to run current-gen games. Very few current-gen AAA games have successfully made a port. In terms of performance, the Switch is closer to the last-gen (X360, PS3, WiiU) than the current-gen (XB1, PS4, XB1X) consoles. In fact, you could get similar handheld and similar performance from the GPD Win 2.... which was developed by a small company with no special optimisations for gaming.
Why am I so hard on them?
It is because I am ticked off at the managers at Nintendo. The Switch could have been released a year earlier, with better comfort/ergonomics, slightly better screen, and have higher performance than the PS4. They could have had all current-gen titles be ported over. They just needed to put the right hardware and design in, that means using 2016-technology. Yet, they went the easy route and used 2014-technology. Instead of making their money by having strong competition, their entire business portfolio was based upon gimmicks, fat profit-margins and nostalgia.

They will be the fastest chip in the universe and once again we will see how Samsung illegally and fraudulently will give the SD 876 chip to US markets while continuing to offer their garbage, inferior, low-tier Exynos waste products to Europe.
I actually hope they'll do it again so the great Youtubers can give them even more backlash in 2021. Samsung are digging their own grave with this garbage chip of theirs.

Playing games like pubg, cod, fortnite, real racing 3 and more than 300 other game at 120hz like pc, like the ipad that can run fortnite at 120hz
Emulators like ps2, wii, gamecube, nintendo switch emulator
wich can run some amazing pc games like resident evil 6, Resident evil 7, THE WITCHER 3, assassin's creed black flag, assassin's creed rogue, Diablo, and many TOP END GAMES and that's in the new switch emulator on android
After having powerful soc we can run most emulators and run almost PS4 LIKE GAMES at High refresh rate and not just 300 games will be optimized but most android games will be optimized for high refresh rate especially if midranges can also be capable of pushing 120fps in these games
And let's not forgot that, FALL GUYS of PS4 AND XONE will be launched on android YES
And the future of gaming in mobile will be bright with the introduction of monster soc while having better battery life and a better modem and a better ISP for photo

exynos had this issue where only big and small cores were active and middle never really did much

Whether or not a SD-powered phone is updated or not already depends on the manufacturer and how Google wants Android OEMs to be forced to support them for longer, but certainly Qualcomm provides the necessary drivers for modifications and faster updates, unlike MediaTek or the others.

Would be great if Qualcomm utilized the a55 cores more. Now you have to manually set up gouvernours to get proper battery life since the big cores go way up on opening a simple web browser.

Anyone here beliving this leak.this is 100% not true .snapdragon 875 will at least have 3+ ghz single core and other 3 cores will atleast at 2.6+ ghz and this article says cores speed will same as snapdragon 865 this is a funny leak

Besides, everyone has different use cases, and clearly this processor is NOT for you if you aren't after for the absolute best performance that you can get out of any smartphone.
You have plenty of options to choose from, and you are not stricted or forced to get this one, so what's with that attitude of hindering the progression in technology?
The efforts of these chipmakers to create more powerful processors each year is what makes those processors with 200K AnTuTu for less than half the price possible today, and if they didn't do such things like that a few years ago, then we'd get even less powerful SoCs for a certain price range than what we get today.
It is your choice to go for less powerful SoCs and save money if you don't think you don't need it, but let those who need it to have their own choice. You don't decide for the others either way, and your mindset will just slow things down in terms of evolution. We won't be advanced if you think that way, and I'm glad that these OEMs aren't the same as you are.

You can buy better cheap smartphone than that 😁 If you have 300dollar budget you can find sd 855, sd765 5g dimensity 800+ or even kirin 820 with benchmark 350k-400k+ benchmark this soc can run everything
Less 400dollar you can buy some xiaomi phone with sd865+ 5g!!!!
