Every market has types of phones and specifications like a person has 5 fingers in different sizes. If you like Xiaomi products, then get one. No one told you to mock other brands as you want. Live longer to the success of apple.

When Xiaomi flagships have 200w fast charging, 120w fast charging will trickle down to the Redmi series.

If implemented properly there's also always on display on lcd.
Lg g5 and lumia 1520 with that monochrome background are good examples.

sq2013, 05 Nov 2020Oled is not the future unless they can make it mass market ... moreEvery year the OLED's are dropping in price. Sooner or later the will be cheaper to produce than LCD because they need less raw material.
Only look at the OLED TV's. Back in 2017 a top 55" OLED TV was around $4000 and now in 2020 you can get the best one for around $1400 (LG CX).

Definitly not water proof BUT never claimed to be. Replacing that with an upgrade Redmi Note 9s 2 weeks after -was happy as can be until last month my boyfriend bought me the SAMSUNG NOTE 20. I liked my Xiomi and didn't want a new phone but I guess he got a contract that made him port my number or pay $1000 so I did. I've has this Note20 since Sept 30th. At this point I can say without Bias that when it comes to the CAMERA ,CAMERA SETTINGS,OPTIONS AND OVERALL PICTURE QUALITY CAPABILITIES between the 2 phones... XIOMI WITHOUT A DOUBT LEAVES SAMSUNG IN THE DUST! I got pictures of the moon that would make you think your looking through some high value telescope. Zoomed in so close you can actually see the craters on the moon, making it look close enough to walk to. This Note20 doesn't even come close. Yes it may be a split second faster opening apps or playing games but when I say split I mean the diff. Of just a snap of a finger... I paid a total of $291. for my XIOMI NOTE9 with shipping, this NOTE20 is selling for $999. at Target and Verizon wanted to charge $1000 if I didn't comply with the contract... POINT IS~> XIOMI GOTS ALL THE HITS~> RIGHT WHERE THEY NEED TO BE AND WONT THROW SOMEONE INTO A BANKRUPTCY WHEN BUYING IT OR IF YOU BREAK IT JUST RIGHT AND INSURANCE WONT COVER IT.

Nick WHO, 04 Nov 2020Some is not all, and it's a good option to have. And ... moreOled is not the future unless they can make it mass market and affordable to all. A high quality AMOLED phone costs north of 350 euros and goes up to over 1000 euros. You can TFT or ips LCD panel phones with unbelievable specs for 200-250 euros. While these phones are out there, people won't stop buying because the sacrifice in screen quality does not, in most people's minds, equate to the price differential. I have a vivo iqoo Z1. It has 5G, dual sim, fully unlocked, 144hz screen refresh rate, 44hz charging support and a mediatek dimensity 1000 chipset that won't break sweat playing the most demanding games for hours. I paid three hundred euros. The display quality is pretty excellent.

Why not release with a new name?
