06 November 2020
At first, you'll have fit within the 667 GB of internal storage available for games while Sony figures out which M.2 SSDs are compatible with the console.

In this generation, Sony took every decision against their consumers.

And, uh, what's the "article's opinion" there? That the fact that there's no expandable storage at launch? Or the fact that this omission can become an issue really fast due to the fact that games are growing exponentially in size (especially since the console also targets 8K, which means much higher resolution textures and other graphics)?

          But this is weird, though.

"(PS: I don't care about these consoles. It's just an unbiased fact.)"

So, you don't care about "these consoles" but you took the time to read the article AND reply in its comment section?

          Aaaaaalllrighty, then!!! 😒

If Sony or MS had used bigger storages, you people would be crying about a $700 - $1000 console too.

            Then what?

This is more than enough to get started and once the next-gen start generating profit for those companies or enough negative feedback orvlack of sales due to the soft storage minimum, MS and Sony will release refreshes for their system.

NotAnOpinion, 06 Nov 2020It's not a PC, people! This stupidity and the stupid r... moreHere's the thing:
There's no practical reason it can't output at 1440p
For players, QHD might be a great compromise between FHD and UHD if games don't play smoothly at UHD (and unoptimized games are so very frequent).
(PS: I don't care about these consoles. It's just an unbiased fact.)
But what does the output resolution have to do with temporarily unexpandable storage?

It won't be any worthy next-gen games that will over exceed the PS5 internal storage no time soon until at the earliest 2022, anyway. Everything else can be ran from an external drive if necessary.

By then, when there's more next-gen games (especially exclusives) becomes available, Sony may have a refresh more powerful PS5 that can compete with XSX raw power that brings more storage OR add an update to its internal extra PCIe slot for its 3rd-party compliant NVMe SSDs.

It's not a PC, people! This stupidity and the stupid rant that it won't render at 1440P. News flash, it's a console designed for 1080p / 2160p / 4320p(8K) TVs, NOT PCs MONITORS!

                            Get over it!

It will have external HDD support for PS4 Pro games and external SSD support for next-gen games.
