The difference being that Dex required a special dock to work until a year later when the Note 9 was released allowing Samsung to copy Huawei's cable only solution...

By selling Honor they technically free them from the ban because they will become a separate company, if we're lucky they will then start selling phones all the way up to flagship level that are "similar" to Huawei devices and hopefully with Leica assisted cameras.

I'm a huawei, Apple and oppo, Samsung user.
In my opinion, apple has the best software while android is easier to use (except Samsung kinda complicated). I hope new os can bridge this problem. Open source os with good memory management, if possible less using battery too.
I'm a customer, so new things always exciting for me. Why refuse new things if theyre better? Don't be so naive

Looking forward to this, lets hope they are successful. They should provide some good incentive for app developers to get on board and show the American regime what error they have made.

I wish Samsung would do something similar. Not because of privacy, that's bullshit. You gave up your privacy once you got an internet connection in your home. But I genuinely like what Samsung has to offer on the software side, even more than their great hardware. The most important feature of them for me is Dex. It literally makes your phone a computer. Even Huawei tried to copy that before, but they failed badly. And now, most of the time with Android updates, it's like google is trying to catch up to Samsung. I swear with every new Android update, 80-90% of the "new features" are things available on our Galaxy devices since launch. Even my "old" Galaxy note 5 feels and looks newer than whatever Google has to offer on its pixel phones.

Looking forward to it. Just don't believe it will be out when they say. Huawei has not a very good track record when it comes to releasing their softwares at a specific time.

I see a day will come that the other big chinese companies like TCL, Xiaomi, Motorola (Lenovo), OnePlus,... to join with Hauwei to developing this OS.
It will be a great OS in coming years.
Google is building a tough competitor for itself...

New OS with a good ecosystem to, right now Huawei doing quite good around their ecosystem.
Ofc Harmony will survive... Read my lips, it will sell good in Europe to.
After those 4 years with the orange tyranny dictatorship, many, many people switch to Huawei.
They make really good a nice quality flagship phones to.
It's good for customers with some more competiton out there, even for customers who not buy or like their products 👍🏻

In others countries they canceled account of people. Now many people want an alternative to stop the dictatorship of google. In China, the government will not force people to adopt an OS from China, people will make this choice for themselves, by patriotism for their country, in the same way that Americans have this patriotism for their country.
