Anonymous, 13 Nov 2020Back up your ridiculous nonsense claim; show us evidence th... moreJust some Jealous Apple Hater that can't accept apple made an industry leading chip and put it in a laptop, just like in an iPhone.
You would be sure that intel sells more chips, and they use 10nm instead of 5nm, and that is cheaper.
Plus, I never expected such a deal on laptop from Apple before. It's incredible.

The entry level MacBook Air sounds good. If M1 is at the same level like i5 then it will be a great value. The problem is I can do everything I need on my iPad and I don’t really need a pc.

Aren't there still PC laptops with 20 hours battery life around? I remember one years ago, with around 100 hours.

Apple is a true master of marketing. I wouldn't trust a single claim they make until proper review is out.
But this looks promising. Just can't say about those Macs reliability, and honestly... Cheaper than an iPhone? LOL

They excused intel and other parts for higher price!!!SO, what's they excuse now!!! It took not more than $20 to produce M1 and they're charging $1000 for Air? Very greedy capitalistic gaddar (A hindi word).

Lacus Clyne, 10 Nov 2020Hope their will be a APPLE STORE in Philippines!Sadly to say, the Philippines is considered to be a 3rd-world country and not known to be a strong market for much of nothing and its GDP per capita is very low, etc.
Don't hold your breathe on it.

Annas, 10 Nov 2020where is the innovation? jesus...what a childish reply
wha... more what Apple did with M1 to gain 50% more battery life, 3 more cpu and gpu RAW power,Tb/usb4, less heat vs the exact same macbook air but with Intel x86 in it ?!!??!
Not used AMD in macs, gimped intel with poor thermals? comparing it with last gen igpu rather than egpu/iris xe gpu even a freaking xps 13/razer blade has? completely vague claims with no baseline? need more?

Wily2020, 10 Nov 2020” Now I wonder how apps optimised for touch screens run on ... moreYeah but the only thing missing is the mouse pointer itself (round circle it is).
Also to mention many apps by Google and Facebook won't be available at first. Some apps are designed for portrait only so they'll look bad when window is maximized. I guess all mouse gestures work alright on iPad, so do keyboard shortcuts too. But it'll get there eventually, just at start it there won't be many apps that will work flawlessly.

I can’t see the problem? You can already use iOS with mouse/trackpad and it works very well and they have already build new user experience for that how mouse pointer handles touch screen functions.

They should have rather launched iBook with touch support or MacPad with desktop app support, or both.
