Hold on a second, I really don't see what's wrong with this... They're simply analysing the pros and cons in order to stipulate what it is consumers want from a handset. They didn't steal blueprints from an Apple factory! They'd be stupid if they didn't do this...

i do believe ppl buy samsung phones (eg:s2 and s3) due to the hardware and software capabilities like the camera, processor, NFC, benchmarks, android and etc.Not due to how close is certain icon in samsung phones to the icon in iphones.LOL

Samsung is mainly hradwear manufacturer. Apple only marketing manufacturer. What happens when Samsung do marketing as well as hardwear?

I cant see how this is called "damning evidence". the S1 UI sucks in every way and doesn't behave like iOS, how did apple conclude that samsung is copying them?

This is very normal, all companies do it, they compare their products with the competitive ones. In an other article their was iphone prototypes compared to Sony Ericsson.

The smartphone was not invented by Apple, they were the first to make it work well. Apple used several source/product to achieve this, and how is that different to Samsung. Sumsung took the best smartphone and used it as a benchmark. Nothing is truely original, and more importantly Apple has not suffered financially at all.

Why is this evidence to prove that Samsung is trying to make their UI look more like iOS?
They are just comparing and commenting the look and feel of various functions. Most probably there is a comparing document for HTC-Sense UI and Windows Phone 7, too.
Technically this document only proves that Samsung is not satisfied with some of their functions and is looking among their business competitors for better ways to design it. It does not say, that they want the same solution Apple has found.

a) touch scroll was invented by Nokia.. b)world's first ever phone call was made from a Nokia phone.. c) bubble lock app.? remember even android and iphone users were jealous of this app..!
d) remember the wonderfull gaming experience that Nokia gave us..it was 'N-gage' ..!

This document proves nothing more than Apple is trying to say they created mobile hone UI, one could say that Apple by lack of imagination were inspired by Symbian in particular the "calculator app", all that Samsung did was to improve the overall "user friendliness" experience and not what Apple did has has yet to replicate juddering by iOS4 through 6) the "WOW" factor.
One could say that Apple were also inspired by "LG" which first came up with the 1 page WiFi activation/wifi settings page ... and in that LG took from Qualcomm's "Brew" interface system.
That said, in the UI (Lismore Touch Wiz 3.0) v OS (iOS) legal fight, Apple would be better off going after Samsung's very own "Bada OS", as the Wave (S8500) is in fact an iPHONE in Samsung clothing everything from CPU, the ammount of RAM and GPU to Lismore Bada TOuch Wiz 3.0 and even the OS is almost a direct copy.
At the end of the day, which handset is better from iPhone 3 and 3Gs (as SGS2 and SBS3 have surpassed Apple iOS and its dumphone) as they were only Apple dumphone to go against the SGS?
Clearly Samsung made a better product and priced it to a good point where as Apple as per normal wanted to be greedy and rake in the profits.
Personally Symbian S60 and the now 4 versions of Nokia (Symbian) OS (S^3, Anna, Belle and Carla) are still far and away better than either Apple or Samsung could come up with from an OS, hardware and UI point of view.
Look at what Nokia had with MeeGo, would of belted both those brands but hey when you have a CEO that is as thick and stupid as a brick then you end up in bed with Microsoft you learn the hard way.

Samsung it's better to become the only google nexus smartphone manufacturer than to build there own smartphone witb touch wiz... it sucks... if I were you Samsung be manufacturer of Google nexus smartphone and google will put in Android OS the latest version... Samsung will build smartphone, google for Os... it will be better and nice to all ...

Galaxy S its heavely inspired by Iphone 3GS.Its more than obvious for those not blind by Samsung or Android.Samsung should pay for this.And Apple still makes the best phones,but blinded Samsung or Android fans cannot see that,or i doubt they have the knowledge to do that.Aren't you tired of cheap,ugly plastics?Are you still counting pixels on your Amoleds?Still hoping that Samsung upgrades your phone to the latest,made by others,OS?Keep your Samsungs,its all yours,i'm tired of your cheap talks about Apple!

Asian companies copy the West, it's nothing new or surprising, just look at the cars.
And honestly, I like it! They offer cheaper alternatives with a comparable product.
