            I remember buying a redmi note 3, it was an eye-opener to me that it is not all about the brand name but end user experience is the most important. I've learn a lot, flashing rom, etc.

              Turn off miui optimization and remove background app limit in settings.

              If that doesn't fix problems, Just get it rooted.
              That Root can remove unnecessary bloatware and system apps, along with greenify will make your phone super fast.
              No need to switch devices.

It has 4gb of RAM as well, but keeps apps loaded, unlike Xiaomi. It's not sluggish and notifications as well as reminders actually work. I can also disable all the useless apps unlike the Redmi.

                The better battery life of the Redmi Note 8 was the reason I switched, but everything else was a downside even compared to Samsung midrange devices.

                    Android versions hardly matter when using miui.

                      Xiaomi is a great company! They haven't even provided an Android 10 update for the Note 8, which made me swap the battery of my old Galaxy S8 and reuse it. Way to go Xiaomi! I will never get Android 10 but atleast I have a properly working phone again.

                                    They should provide android 11 for Note 8 series. Especially note 8 pro hardware is more capable and better than note 9 pro
