But it is just 5G fault?
SD865 combo should have made phones just $70 more compared to 2019.
How about the other $200-300 in the end?

Apple lost this time. Slower processor. Thermal throttling. Joke battery life. Problematic screen. High price. A mid range android phone is ten times better. It can play all games. It can have better camera and much longer battery life. Screen quality can be better too. What else do you want? Updates and security? Man come on just use your phone and don't worry about security patches and other marketing gimmicks. I'm typing this comment on my S6 Edge. A five years old Samsung which still works great.

Snapdragon 865 and 865+ costs... moreSd 865 costs $60-70, ($20 jump from sd 855 which was $50), and x55 modem costs $90. Overall price is $150-160. But this is lauch price and not today, today it costs only $130-$140. Coming to sd 875, add $20 and it cost $80-$90 (20$ up from sd 865) and x60 modem will cost $100-$120 and combined price of sd 875 is then $180-$210.
As far as some fake rumors going on that it will cost $250, that is never going to happen. If they r getting sd 865 at only $130, why would they care to buy sd 875 with just 15% improvement for for additional $120. That makes it a bad business.

530.000 for Snapdragon 775G? 😲 WOW! I was expecting ~450.000. That’s quite a huge increase from the 765G (and even the 768G). It’s very close to last year’s flagship, the 865, after such a short period of time. I guess Qualcomm didn’t want to be surprised by MTK’s upcoming premium mid-range SoCs, like it happened this year.
Anyway, the 765G is a very potent chip, even for today’s most demanding games, so I’m very excited to see that the 775G will future-proof the handsets that it will power.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed to see the 775G in Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Lite, for ~350 euros, and in many other premium mid-range phones, like it happened with the 765G.

Snapdragon 775G is flagship fast because mediatek dimensity 1000 cost same as 765G and perform between 855+ and 865.
Mediatek is the reason Qualcomm make this chipset this powerful.
This competition is good for consumers.

Very nice that the new midrange chip gets a nice performance boost. The 765 was kinda disappointing since it was barely faster then the 730.

Antutu is more reliable since it is a compound benchmark taking into account how everything inside the product works in cohesion.
Antutu score for A14 is 540k-600k..let's consider the top model iPhone 12 pro Max with 600k score in our argument. Everyone knows how badly it suffers from thermal throttling owing to lack of cooling.
Therefore, actual performance after taking into account thermal throttling is equivalent to reducing 20% of the score as shown after repeated Antutu tests.
After all those calculations, Final score for 5nm based flagship A14 SOC falls back to 500k.
Meanwhile, 5nm based Mid-range Snapdragon 775 SOC scoring 530k.
Therefore, one can easily say that mid range Snapdragon 775 [Android] based device is overall more powerful than flagship A14 based device from Apple.
