Weekly poll: what do you think of the Poco M3?

29 November 2020
The phone is surprisingly capable for a sub-€200 phone, sub-€150 even, if you got one with the Black Friday discount.

The phone is overall good. Just concerned about the Snapdragon 662 whether it will be good or not. Was hoping screen with more resulation but 1080p is okay. It would be better if it had a super amoled panel instead of IPS LCD panel cause in this price range Samsung managed to make few phones with a super amoled panel. Loved to see that the 3.5 mm headphone jack is back

Just the usual FB and Amazon, that even my more expensive Sony XZ I bought in 2017 had. Planning to get Mi 11 if it has under display front camera, otherwise I will just use the Mi 9 for another few months. Was interested in the S20 FE 5G but was afraid of the touchscreen problems many users reported on Samsung official forum.

                They are

                1. Value for the money.
                2. Comes with tons of nice feature.
                3. No ads. Or no massive bloatware.

Oh, and you can lower rendering resolution with adb.

Not good. Too many release smartphones. Poco F1, Poco F2 Pro, Poco X3 NFC and Poco M3. The Poco M3 is a downgrade, charger 18W only. Poco X3 NFC is still better.

I find the phrasing of your surveys a bit problematic. I think most people who use this website are tech enthusiasts and power users, who use more expensive, more potent devices. I for my part am really impressed by both the Poco M3 and the Realme 7 5G recently released but can't put my input into the surveys. However, if I were to recommend a phone in this price range to a friend of mine, those are pretty good shots. It's just that I can't partake in the survey on the basis of that.

YUKI93, 30 Nov 2020I never use modded apps like Lucky Patcher in my whole life... moreWell time to use it. It can completely emulate Google Play services without having Play services installed thereby no depending on Play services in background for certain apps to run. Heavily used on AOSP ROMs without play services.
One doesn't need custom ROM these days to get things done.
Stock ROM with debloating unnecessary apps is enough along with apps like Lucky patcher.

I am not using Custom ROM, but I am Rooted.
I have used Lucky patcher to remove Google Play services dependencies.

iOS.Never.Again, 30 Nov 2020What do you mean my signature spoofing support? MicroG wor... moreIf you are thinking of MicroG for YouTube Vanced, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about MicroG as a core replacement for Google Play Services. Signature spoofing basically allows an app or service to impersonate another app or service. It means that microG can make your phone thinking that you have Google Play Services. That is why you need a custom ROM that supports Signature Spoofing in order to install MicroG. There's even a microG fork of LineageOS since LineageOS devs themselves refuse to add Signature Spoofing support.

YUKI93, 29 Nov 2020Will you buy a Poco M3? Yes, once there is custom ROM su... moreWhat do you mean my signature spoofing support?
MicroG works on all phones, why need a custom ROM for that?
