Weekly poll: what do you think of the Poco M3?

29 November 2020
The phone is surprisingly capable for a sub-€200 phone, sub-€150 even, if you got one with the Black Friday discount.

The Smartphone it's self is nice, acceptable specs in hardware, but in soft we hope more work on os coz mui 12 is heavy and not well optimized for new devices, well see by the time uf it worth it.

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2020I don't use NFC for payments but it is useful for othe... moreI use it for payements and for some drive through shopping to ID myself so I got my order deliver.

Mandatory like legally forced, maybe not indeed, but like the 3.5mm Jack and other non intrusive techs (that are inexpensive, take near 0 space and can be totally ignored for those who don't want them) like IR or SD card or wireless charging (that should be integrated into the phone's back shell, not just put inside) or OiS on cameras, etc.
It should be the norm and have a good justification to remove/not put them, like a phone too thin (Oppo R5), but not the "it require courage" kind, that isn't a justification, that's an excuse.

3.5mm headphone jack and Hi-Res audio certification. This is pretty much a dream audio phone at a stupendous price point.

Well, it sounds nice and sparkles but you guys again avoid the elephant in the room. Let's talk software, bloatwar, ads and tracking, shell we?

Why isn't there an option in the poll that says, "No, because I already have a better phone, but the M3 is good for the price".

Geralb, 29 Nov 2020Some people use it as a payment option I do too.

There are peoples in this world that would fight against any attempt at someone to get a rare/uncommon/different feature and will defend invasive things like punch holes or notches or curved edge display simply because THEY like them.
They will totally casually don't see the issue with the market being filled with 98% of what they like and why you have the right to defend what you want that is so rare there is nothing to choose from.
Talk about bezel, they'll act as if a hole in the display is better than something outside it, like a border bother them but their fingers around the phone doesn't, talk about logic, but regardless you still aren't allowed to dislike the hole and to want a simple border, also apparently the Meizu 16, Nubia Red Magic or Xiaomi Black Shark 3 have border so big it is visible from the moon.
Then you talk about pop up they'll bring the typical myths with the same key word "water, dust, wear, moving parts, prone to/chances of failure", like, YEAH, I know, what if I still want one ?
Don't even talk about no front camera, they'll hit you with "video call" until you have to act like you are forced to do it, even if you never did and never planned to.
Second display on the back ? They'll loose their mind and act as if you were ruining the market by wanting diversity, the thing 3 years ago that was the main selling point of Android smartphones that any non-stupid person would want back.
But nope, they'll go as far as insulting you for this, just because you want something else then them despite your preferences being disappearing and their one being almost the only option.

Like those who defend the removal of the Jack port, like WHY ?
The Jack is a perfect exemple of a non intrusive thing, if you don't want it, you can perfectly ignore it, it doesn't do any arm, a hole in the display can't be ignored on the other hand.

Things like Jack or NFC should be MANDATORY except for real valid reasons not to put them on a phone.
Wireless fanboy act as if having a Jack prevent them from using their Bluetooth things, and those who don't need X or Y feature like NFC don't care at all if you can't do payements.
The funny part is they think they are right, they are literally the oppressor of the story, but they think they are acting great.

So, careful when defending a feature, nowaday it is a good enough reason to receive hate apparently, and I am not talking about this guy in particular, it happen more and more, talk about the age of acceptance...
