Google Fi will no longer support phones if they don’t have VoLTE beginning January

I've been trying to use gsmarena to find a new phone that is VOLTE capable, but I don't see it in any of the available comparison specs. Is it called something different on the gsmarena specs?

I use fi for a business and my personal I use Verizon, Google fi is the amazing note 20 ultra and Verizon the fold 2 , Verizon is much h better than fi , speed or coverage is not good , T Mobile is like a sprint, bad everything, also customer service , speed and coverage terrible, Verizon is the boss period.

Agree. I don't think it's 3g. My phone settings won't even allow me to remove 2g.

So if I currently have a Moto x4 with Google Fi will I be able to continue using Fi? I keep reading that this change applies to new activations but still confused on if this will affect me as a current Fi user.

Google Fi is far from a joke! It's service is better than Verizon now and with that comes cost. 70 bucks unlimited is still cheaper than Verizon. I'm on 5g with my new Pixel and it is amazing. Service in 5g just about every where. Those complaining need to find a different carrier in their budget like Cricket. Way to go Google, Fi is now fantastic!!!

I've been with Fi over 2 years. It cannot compare with at&t or verizon on the pricing/data speed/ voice quality. That's ok with me. If you switch from T-Mobile, you can expect more of the same. Im using it on a google pixel . Fun fact google has set up a VPN on these phones. Only myself, google, and the NSA know what I'm looking at.
*They also have free data only sim cards available. Pop em in an old phone or a tablet and your good to go. Shared data allowance with my phone.

Google Fi is a joke. You now have to turn on data to make or receive text messages. So when your data runs up they "credit" your account but you have to pay it all in full.u phone was just suspended because they lied to me.

vodny, 05 Dec 2020What the hell is Google Fi? Never heard of.It's Google's service that uses Sprint, T-Mobile, and United Cellular's networks to make sure you're pinging the best reception. It's a little pricey unless you don't use up that much data but you can only benefit from it with a limited amount of devices (mainly sold through them like Pixels, LG V35, G7, Moto...something, etc).
