They are working on it because they know chinese brands will buy.

I saw one in Rowan Atkinson’s movie with tens of thousands MPs. I think Samsung is finally getting there. 😎

More gimmicks incoming. Companies do this because it's easier to market, not because it improves upon the mainstream solutions.
Samsung's 108MP sensor failed to outdo the competition, and yet they're still pursuing more radical solutions like that.

Now we know they can do it. But they never will, nor they should.
