hello. i have flashed my mobile using the rom available in the source(that is xda developers), it works so great. no regrets till now. the ics update got many improvements to the gingerbread software. the interface is much more smooth. animations are better. face lock available for ur lock screen and among many others. just so nice the ics

my indian buddies let us know wen the update is available in our country..faced the blackout issue once but expect it to be resolved after the ics update..overall sgr is a great phone..peace out

Hi all..i love my sgr so much.it ia auch a nice phone and till now i havent got any prblm with it. Just waiting for the ics update to be available.. Cheers

aatif, 18 Aug 2012plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz make it fast for indiaif there is an update plssss change the boooaring ui. and make it smoooth. ICS update s not necessary smooth well animated ui is enough. Rest all satisfied by samsung. Plsssss improve touch responsiveness in samsung devices. even the small xperia mini has better touch responsiveness than my Galaxy R.

This is a good news! but samsung is the worst company in maintaining their product line. they just keep on making new phones and just forget older ones.. None of their phones except the premium ones have got ICS updates in india.

once samsung release it sources, youll be easier to port a 100% working AOSP ICS ROM for all the other tegra2 phones, so guys, relax, after all, the fun of android phones is the SU knowledge you learn trying to get unnofficial OS updates on it

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2012isn't it awsome that a so old, and not popular device get's... moreI think you have completely got your facts wrong, the desire HD is very old, the galaxy R(also know as the galaxy Z) is only a year and a half old! It was released last year, its the exact same thing as the Galaxy S2 but with a tegra 2 SOC instead of Samsungs SOC, essentially it is the samsung equivalent of the LG Optimus 2x.
Now if i recall correctly, this isnt actually rolling out...it has lots of bugs still and its just a fluke the guy got it returned with ICS, lucky him! I wish LG would do something like this for our O2x but it seems doubtful, atleast they can rip out the drivers and get CM10 eventually :).

I have gotten this update from Tmobile USA. on my Samsung Galaxy s3. no complaints so far, battery though is better on this update.

It is funny, that sammy makes an update and people are complaining about it? This news are not for people, who comment something like "another plastic copy or another fail or another nothing new"... There are people who are waiting for this and hoping it will come at least. Complaining here is just plain stupid and shows how much of an IQ you have, because you cannot control yourself from such nonsense comments.
