Qimchi, 10 Dec 2020Your "Car without steering or steering wheel" is ... moreMy logic is not flawed at all. Like you suggested to use connector and insert 3.5mm Jack to use it, you can do the same in Car also. Get it fitted from some mechanic or so. But will that give you same kind of smoothness in driving? I am sure not. I don't want to compromise on sound quality and not like to use Bluetooth headset for various reasons including health. Need to use 3.5mm and wired headphone/earphones only for prolong talking on phone. And I don't want to carry one another device (connector) and 1st compromise on sound quality and always rely on that to use my headphone. One day if I forget that, then I cannot use the phone? What is this logic?
I can afford any Bluetooth Airpod or earpod and can surely afford even $2000 phone also but in my view they are waste of the money as I don't want to use phone if no 3.5mm jack. In my view, it is piece of junk which can only be used do electronic recycling purpose and complete scrap in my view.
To carry and lift Poco X3, one will need crane as it is weighted at 25 grams. Way too heavy.

Let's hope the camera would be an improvement. 13MP 5X Camera, 50 MP wide angle camera and 50MP main shooter would be good.

You can't use or drive a car without a steering wheel.
You can use a phone without a headphone jack. You can still plug in a dongle. If you could afford such a premium for this phone (The Poco X3 is all rounder deal anyway) you could most definitely afford Sony WH1000XM4, Airpod Pro, AptX bluetooth module for removable cable earphones like the KZ ZAX(or just a Type-C cable for these). It's a minor problem. Can't charge while using wired headphones? Fast charging. Want 3.5mm? Dongle. Don't want dongle? Get some bluetooth headphones. It's not the same as buying a car and wanting to steer. It's more like buying an expensive car and deciding you want racing slicks or carbon fiber body parts to be faster. Your car doesn't need racing slicks or lighter weight parts to necessarily be faster. How often do you even need to be that fast?
The point is your over exaggerating. Too much to make a logical point. I bought an Tuned V8 MX5 and it can't go off road. Its useless! Nah just put some suspension mods and bigger wheels and your good.

Stockyboi, 09 Dec 2020Of course you're entitled to your opinion but I don... moreWell, I think and believe that 3.5mm Jack is very basic thing which any phone should provide. There are serious health impact of using Bluetooth which 99% people do not know. They will know only after 15-20 years and I am sure it shall happen. Apart from that, I do not like earphones which goes into my ear canal. I use flat head earbuds (again not Apple ones. They are not earbuds). All brands are only following Apple by removing 3.,5mm Jack and thinking that by doing so, they will also have $1 Trillion market cap. They are bigger fool actually.
In my view, this is totally useless phone and complete waste which does not have very basic feature. These companies actually be sued for doing this and I wish this happen and they need to close their shops.

Qimchi, 09 Dec 2020Useless and waste of money. Than you shouldn't even be... moreOnly expensive I guess. If a phone does not have basic features, then what is the use of other things. it is like you buy Car without steering or without wheel and you cannot fit it later too. For me, it is total waste and only fools + ultra rich will buy this. Fast charging, 5G all these features are of no use. No one need to charge the phone in 5-10 min and that too every now a then. And 5G speed is useless. 1st, you get 5G coverage at very limited places otherwise it will be like 4G which supports 100 mbps but you will never get more than 5-10 average speed. Some places you will get 12-15, very few places 20-25 also but hardly 30+ and rarely 35-40+.
In my view, it is totally useless phone which is actually cannot be used for what it is meant to be. Except for convenient of talking to the person on the other side of the phone call, it can be used for all other purpose like taking pics, admiring screen etc. But surely not for the phone call for longer period..

AnonD-961247, 09 Dec 2020I guess yet another useless and waste of money kind of devi... moreUseless and waste of money. Than you shouldn't even be looking at the Find series. It's the most expensive flagship series Oppo has. This series is where they show off what they can do for a premium. This shows off capability of the same 50MP sensor under the main and ultrawide lenses. With their VOOC charge and excellent screen. The Find series is equivalent to Samsung's Ultra version of flagships. S20 Ultra wasn't that good but it shows some innovation and possibilities in the future. I'd say the future Ultra might have 200MP or 150MP sensor that their working on.

With the popularity of bluetooth earbuds/headphones, many brands are moving away from the jack.

M.sadegh, 08 Dec 2020priscope telephoto?
No?
Why not?Read the article carefully, there are no details on that, doesn't mean it will be omitted.
In my opinion, they'll keep the 5x optical zoom.
I am more excited for the new Sony imx sensor and 50Mp Ultrawide.

So long as Periscope winds up here, I essentially called these leaks. 4,500mAH battery, 50MP main camera, giant amount of MP for the Wide-Angle cam, portrait lens, etc. Gonna say it now, it will come with 30/40W wireless charging and cost $1,400.
People unfortunately need to remember, Oppo always looks to provide the thinnest phones so of course the battery will never be as big as it should. Maybe with the new 888, it will have a substantial battery life with that 4,500mAH battery. Not enough for me to get it but still. Lol

Misfit2Fields, 08 Dec 2020They need to put in a bigger battery and better cooling.. f... moreSorry, but you're misinformed/ ill-informed.
I'm a user of the Find X2 (non-Pro) and I can corroborate GSMA's review that it has superb thermal management and doesn't throttle performance easily.
The main downside is that the battery life leaves something to be desired, so that's something. I'd still prefer having a bigger battery and slower charging speeds, but admittedly, topping up isn't a problem since the battery takes less than 40 minutes to go from 0-100% (as long as I'm close to a power outlet).

Misfit2Fields, 08 Dec 2020They need to put in a bigger battery and better cooling.. f... moreI agree that they should put in at least a 4500mAh battery (like OP8P).
They still had decent battery life with everything turned to max (1440p+/120Hz), better than samsung's S20 line-up even though they ran at 1080p+/120Hz. But yeah 1+8P had a noticeable bump in endurance due to their optimizations
As far as lon term perf is concerned, it was very good from what I've read, it hardly throttled down even while running benchmarks.

Who still buys Oppo when there's Realme? Don't get me wrong, the build quality of their plastic phones is superb, let alone the metal-and-glass ones. However, at $1,000+, who will buy them? There's Realme, same phones except for gimmicky features on the Oppo. Then, hold my beer, there's Xiaomi, arguably the value king. Then, why buy a MI when there's a Redmi or POCO? I couldn't buy Huawei when there was Honor. Simple stuff.

Huge camera downgrade from the X2, periscope zoom gone to be replaced by a pathetic 2x module and a gimmicky "microscope" lens that will be used once then ignored - clearly BBK didn't learn anything from the OP8 Pro debacle.
This was on my maybe list for my next upgrade - it's gone now.
