Smithravi, 10 Dec 2020I don't trust VERGE or any other apple favour sources.... more” Apple is not even audio company like Sony.”
You think that like Tim cook are making these or what? :) why wouldn’t Apple have huge knowledge about audio and audio engineers and so on working for them? Based on how these are designed and used materials and so, it looks like Apple definitely knows what they are doing. Everything been designed to make them sound as good as possible.
”If you are engineer and sound engineer like you claim. You would rather go for other high end wired headphones. Not Bluetooth headphones.” I already have wired headphones, i’m interested for wireless headphones and their improvements. These also can use as wired headphones with lightning headphone jack.
Is techcrunch Apple site too? All who say these sounds great are Apple sites?
” The sound is impressive. Don’t worry about this being in the Beats region of a bass-heavy crowd pleaser. Though there is plenty of low end, this is a more nuanced affair, with crisp delivery across the spectrum. I’ve watched movies, listened to music and had phone conversations, all sounded great. The spatial audio feature, for one, is greatly improved by the larger drivers and enclosed environment. Audio panning and positioning from Atmos content is very cleverly done and if you’re watching from an iOS device it really does feel like you’re in a large sound environment with a strong center positioning at the screen. They feel like you’re listening in a room with no headphones on at all, it is really beyond impressive.”

I'm music producer and mixing engineer so audio is very important to me. I haven't been impressed by wireless headphones so i'm really interested to hear how these Sounds. And based on all the first impressions from everyone, you can't fake genuine face impressions. People are really impressed by these and i think audio guys will too.
You are just in denial because you hoped them to sound bad because they are made by Apple and now you are scared because they are beating headphones like Sony etc. and that's not something you can accept that we can enjoy better audio quality ;)

I've been watching those videos and more i watch i want to buy them. People are so surprised how they sound. So clearly Apple have done something here. Even in full volume there isn't distortion.

At 550€ or USD, the quality you get through Bluetooth headphones ain't worth it. Unless you want to pay for the brand. And show off at others. It's simply not worth it 😅. Anything above 500-600 USD is audiophiles territory and Bluetooth headphones without 3.5mm ain't one of them.

Don't believe him. Because it's a lie. You get best quality only through wired 3.5mm. at least that's what humans are capable for now.

Wily2020, 10 Dec 2020First comments about audio, as expected (except haters) the... moreQuality of music is different from how many ranges it can cover. Everybody knows Sony users prefer bass while Bose prefers treble and highs. If apple able to cover both, it will still have bad quality than LDAC because their smartphones or even headphones doesn't support any lossless music. LDAC is the only thing that comes close to CD lossless quality 😊.

First comments about audio, as expected (except haters) they sound great
” Sound-wise, I've had fun listening to the AirPods Max for a few hours — they're crisp and bright, with a pleasingly wider soundstage than my Sony headphones, and no distortion at all, even at max volume. We'll have a full review of these soon, including tests of spatial audio and Apple's claim of Atmos surround sound support, so stay tuned for that. But for now, rest assured the AirPods Max sound more than good enough to compete with other high-end headphones.”

On top of that, their noise canceling is arguably the best I've experienced, slightly edging out the noise canceling on both Sony's WH-1000XM4 and Bose's Noise Cancelling Headphones 700.”
Sorry Apple won ;)

yeah but, 09 Dec 2020but i bet your phone is badWow. The mental level of your comment outlines the fact that you're probably buying your phone on your dad's card or on loan.
I would prefer the guy who gets a phone within his budget.
Also, just because I have a 12 Pro Max means nothing. It's just a choice. I could own 3 supercars and it doesn't mean I mock your midranger.
Most important of all, I doubt you know your music and the ability to judge a good pair of headphones. You probably wouldn't know a studio set from one that grossly colours the sound.

Well, OK then that's a pretty expensive set of headphones.
Now I enjoy music as much as the next guy, I own an LG V50 and plug in my classic Sennheiser PX-100 'phones daily but no way is this a sensible way to spend money.
These are aimed at those that must own everything that is trendy, they're not a real product for sensible people.
Hard pass.
