Anonymous, 14 Dec 2020Yes I noticed that too. The test was a real surprise. I remember when Poco F1 was the runner up camera a couple of years ago. It's just a bit of fun with no indication of camera quality. It shouldn't be taken too seriously.

But many people will prefer photos taken by the smaller sensor because of their better colours and HDR. Because some people feel like Huawei's colour and white balance a bit bad and their super aggressive HDR to be fake looking

Pixel, Iphone, Samsungs have never always won the best quality shot, they never had the best detail, colours, dynamic range, and sometimes have weird white balance. But it is their looks. That's why in instagram, most people like Pixel, iphone and samsungs are because of their looks. Some like the pixels contrastt cool shot, Iphones warm flat looking shot (now it is over saturated), and samsungs over saturated. If you want to get the best quality without minding the looks of it, but want the most information possible on an single photo, i suggest taking the Huawei. At lowlight, it is the brightest shot of all phones i have testes. And there is a lot of information, sure it is bright, but all highlights are not blown out. So you can edit the shadows in post and make it darker. Unlike some phones that are darker shot, which i prefer, but once you brighten it up, there is a ton of noise. Personally, i prefer Iphones night mode because they are natural compared samsung and huawei. But, if you want the best quality possible for photo, get the Huawei. If you want video, get Iphone.

It's just inferior to other flagships.
Zoom into those photos on Pixel and iPhone, their terrible detail levels surface.
Big sensor is big sensor. Small sensor will not match quality of big sensor.
