And updating and long term support on Android is pure distilled garbage whether you like it or not and ffs stop defending it with nonsense you alwas say how Android is so much better as is and doesn't need any updates. Your reason is like: you buy a house but you can not modify it. You can not go to the store you like, you can not go the supermarket you prefer.
All you can do with that house is just live in it, use what it offers, and buy stuffs from only one designated store, even with outrageous price. Even modifying the house to your liking is also not allowed.
How does that sound to you?
I don't think you will understand though. You're too blinded by Apple. And your brain doesn't function properly anymore.

I think apple's control over who distributes apps for their platform is justified. Because I remember back when my friends bought their iPhone 3g and 3gs', every one was so excited to get their devices jailbroken because there is a work around to install Paid Apps for FREE. I know free is good thing, but looking at it, it's like robbing developers of their money.

Just because you paid for it it doesn't mean you just suddenly own Apple's shares and have a say with board directors just because you bought a phone lmao. You just bought a device. And that's it. It has a set of features you opted for the moment you bought it. You're not entitled to anything beyond that. If you think you are, you bought the wrong product. It's how every other purchase is treated. Just not Apple's where people get delusional with their demands...
I also bought stupid expensive Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and my god, Samsung doesn't allow me to run Windows 10 on it. And I paid 1200€ for it. Apple sells a device with given features. By buying it you willingly opted into use of those features. You didn't buy rights to do whatever you want with it, you bought it do what they offer you. It's also funny when people are unable to look at it from developer perspective. Do you know what kind of support and troubleshooting nightmare iPhone would be if suddenly you can use 3rd party app stores, browsers use their own browser engines, people can install other OS even. And you get such person in a support situation, waste bunch of time just to later find out some 3rd party crap they installed is causing all the problems. Apple doesn't have to deal with any of that crap when things are under their control and their design. Experience is consistent and it's the same across ALL devices. Not the f**kery with Android phones where all 1 billion devices with it are all different and not even those with actually same OS behave the same because user is experiencing problems with webpage and you end up finding out the problem isn't the phone but 3rd party browser they are using. But people just dismiss this as "not a thing" even though it's very much a thing and I damn well understand why Apple is doing. It's the equivalent of home mechanics poking their Honda Civic all day long and people who just use the car to drive and absolutely do not care what's underneath and what all they can bolt on top of it. That's iPhone. It's predictable and consistent experience almost regardless which one you use. Believe it or not, there is a huge number of people like that who expect and want such experience and don't care about anything else. I was like that, raving about Android which can do billion things, but none actually well. Tried iOS and I like it far more despite lack of certain freedom I had on Android, because I gained other things and just the way how it works. I just don't care about the fiddly stuff anymore and Android is always fiddly, even if you don't want it to be or need it to be.

I don't think what Apple doing is wrong.
They claim their phone, OS and Apps are secure due to the fact that they are under control of their ecosystem.
If outsiders are allowed to inhibit their ecosystem then Apple cannot guarantee or make any such claims.
Also, I feel there's nothing wrong in someone working hard and achieving a trillioniare status and not listen to someone sitting behind a screen and speaking about antitrust and anticompetitive issues.
If people can afford Apple services, then they can use them. If not, then go find yourself one Android or any other platform.
Apple ecosystem is focused on privacy and quality, and they have right to get their share for this.
