Good thing is that Indonesia and Malaysia are extremely stable nowadays unlike india.
Time to move factory there, if not return to mothership China where they build smart City every 20 days and build thousands of factories every month.

A lot of ... moreWell said. its trade unions funded by foreign forces, that are behind the staged farm protests too (which, curiously are filled with some very shady elements and NGOs, and individuals a with very poor record). Countries which have the highest manufacturing advantage for the last decade or so, won't let go without all sorts of proxy wars.

Apparently it's a communists trade union thing. They created the problem (late payments) and also the theft. Hopefully the union leaders are pulled up and appropriately dealt with.

Don't get me wrong, i'm sure there may be some real pay dispute and for these low wage earners who literally survive hand-to-mouth, timely pay is critical!
"Apple" would not want any low wage workers on their payroll, neither would Wistron therefore the workers are hired by an external third party vendor who supplies the manpower and will pay the workers minus any major job benefits that a large multinational co would provide its own staff. This way everyone except the worker goes home with paying-out the least and keeping the most for themselves.
The riot while absolutely horrible & condemnable in everyway are yet a sign of freedom of expression and a free society - imagine such a news ever emerging from China and what the Chinese govt will do to the workers if they did something like this!

Thailand isn't exactly stable at the moment anyway
Vietnam is alright, but it's not a China replacement as it's not a big country

How to move manufacture to India when their own sub contractors do not pay up? And in blind rage attack the party not involved?
