I've had Sennheiser and AKG earbuds, back when wired were still a thing and they didn't have sound anywhere close to AirPods 2. Their bass was so weak they sounded like goat pissing on a metal sheet in games. Where AirPods 2 actually have really deep and still detailed sound. Everyone whining how Bluetooth makes sound so much worse, but in all honesty, I can't really sense it. Not with content 95% of people consume in movies, music and games anyways.

I believe it will look like AirPods Pro, but do not have the tip. No ANC means no use having the silicone tip.
That means it will be more comfortable.

My ears start itching after wearing them a long time. This did not happen with the plastic ones, the fit was also somehow better.

I have just ordered the regular 2nd gen ones for myself. Have never been a great fan of those silicon tips ones. So creepy!

ears hurt a lot after wearing for 1+ hours and the noise cancelling in pros dont work that great, a lot of noise still gets in and sometimes sounds a bit static. returned it and got a new one and yet it sounded very similar. they sound great but background noise cancelling could be better

Great, now Apple is also following the stupid "shove this silicone crap into your ear canal" nonsense. Sigh. I literally bought AirPods 2 because they have good sound and none of the silicone crap and were at the time one of rare in such shape and form. Why can't they just run 2 designs in parallel? Pro series for those who like and want silicone tips and regular AirPods for those who don't want the damn silicone tips. Surely I can't be the only one who loves and prefers the classic AirPods 1 & 2 shape over Pro's. And sound is great. I use them for music, movies and gaming, exclusively on Windows 10 systems and they are great.
