I am sure most of them knows this news...however would like to share with you'll that the APPLE is the most valuable company now...this proves that being in the industry for just 5 to 6 years the Apple has beat all the mobile manufacturers who was in the industry for so long.....

Take into account that... moreEXACTLY - I see the culture changing a lot at Apple in the coming years - like the rumors of Apple planing a smaller iPad, even though Jobs was against them. And Apple beginning to pay dividends to shareholders. That was not necessary - the shareholders have been "spoiled" in a way. Now that the investors have tasted dividend, the share price will be more sensitive to revenue/profit changes. You give it to them once, they will expect it more of the time. And when sales dip just a little, they panic, scared that it may affect their dividend prospects - SHAREPRICE CRASHES.
I also suspect that this new dock may affect iPad3 sales. Surely some buyers will hold off getting an iPad3 until they get the new dock? BIG PROBLEM considering iPad3 isn't even six months old yet.

Take into account that Tim Cook isn't Steve Jobs which means there could be several changes in the way that Apple designs their products.

Looks fake. i believe it will still be 3.5 inch. Stretching the screen will break alot of apps, i highly doubt apple will take that move. What makes the phone worth while is the large collection of apps.
The bump in the battery / and 4g at the cost of reducing the connector size and sim card size seems reasonable.
My guess of the new iphone would be:
3.5 inch
slightly better processor / gpu
4g connection
smaller & slimer (like ipod touch current gen)
longer battery life
32/64/128gb (maybe) - to complete in local storage

Will be called iphone 5, you don't get the Strategy behind the "the new..." names. They Renamed the iPad behause they want to Stress Out that it is a Post pc device and is Part of their mobile Computer product line-up. Like the nomenclature they use for MacBooks which also dont have any Numbers in their names (in commercials).

Apple will make enormous profit from new accessories, especially knowing previous iPhone accesories wont work, unless PURCHASING either new accessories that will fit, or at worst case scenario an adapter to make the previous accessories fit the iPhone 5 port.

Far from me to defend Apple (far, far, far from it..) but at least they have had a standard dock connector through most of their iterations of the iPhone. In fact, in many ways it's one of the things that has contributed to the success of the iPhone, the huge range of peripherals. It's a pity that Google couldn't get together with Android manufacturers and come up with some sort of standard themselves. It's the one and only thing that I am slightly envious of.. but I'll get over it, and be happy with my vastly superior Android device..

ITS6NOT5, 21 Aug 2012I wish GSMARENA would just stop referring to it as iPhone5.... moremate i think you will find that Apple has done away with numbers.....if you think im joking, why do you think the NEW "Ipad3" is just been re-branded as "Ipad" so i honestly think the new Iphone which your correct in saying is the 6th gen Iphone will just be called the new "Iphone" makes sense eh????... i dont care iv got the best phone in the world the SGS3...and looking at the specs apart from the 12mp camera, everything in the SGS3 is far better....just like the SGS2 won "best phone of the year" AFTER the Iphone 4S came out and got battered by the specs.....oh and also i really hope they change the interface.....it was amazing 8 yes EIGHT years ago...but its time for change....and yes you will have to buy new accessories as the connecter HAS changed LOL LMAO

Example: A car with built-in iPod cable and dock, desk clocks with ipod dock, speakers with built-in connector/docks, etc.
I don't think it will be a mere $10 cost. Since when were optional car accessories and fancy desk clocks $10? I don't think an adapter will work well with all the said accessories.
My 2 cents though, might be Apple and their 3rd-party product manufacturers' money-making ploy to have Apple fanboys, like yourself, buy all new accessories. Thus making one's you've already invested in almost useless.

Still one phone a year, still same design and still one phone fits all.
Other phones companies offers different phones for different needs. Most people gets Iphone because is fashion (like sell is body parts to pay for it) and most of this people don't use even 70% of its features.
