I usually hold off from phones released with a chipset that hasn't been 'optimized.' Consider OnePlus launches flagship after Oppo, Xiaomi launches two or more with the same chip after the first iteration, and then Samsung takes the best in the Galaxy S and 'optimizes' it for the Note, even adding some features and reducing gimmicks.

Specs of most phones are good enough these days.
call quality, wifi and 4g/5g reliability and speeds, GPS performance, bluetooth experience and general connectivity and software experience, camera usage experience, feel in hand, eye comfort of the display are good for most phones these days.

i think oneplus 8 pro is best of all sigments i has best price value and great oxygen os and ip68 water resistant etc....

It's kind of pointless picking a top 5 without having used them. That's the only way to get a true less biased opinion of which phones suit you better is to use them. While specs can give an indication they don't really tell you what it's like to use the phone on a daily basis e.g. call quality, wifi and 4g/5g reliability and speeds, GPS performance, bluetooth experience and general connectivity and software experience, camera usage experience, feel in hand, eye comfort of the display

Google pixel 5(landed with the public perfectly)
Z fold2 5G (big upgrade over the fold and an actual front screen)
Xperia 5 II (a better deal then the 1 II except the loss of 4K screen)
Oneplus 8 pro(finally a flagship!)
Sharp Acquos Zero 2 (240hz?!?!)

My personal top 5 phones of 2020? Well that's a difficult one since there is a lot of worthy contenders. But for me, I'd pick the LG Wing 5G, Motorola RAZR 5G, Sony Xperia 5 ii, OnePlus 8 Pro, and vivo X50 Pro in that order.
Honorable mention for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2, Apple iPhone 12 mini, and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. As much as I like the Z Fold2 a lot, I'd still take LG's much more practical DualScreen case solution tqvm. As for the iPhone, I'm still not sure if I would pick that over a two-year-old iPhone XS. As for the Xiaomi, well it's a China-only phone sadly.
